I think there’s a clear case over the back that blocks the gaping hole that was chewed into the shell. Rub a little dirt on it and get back in there!

I can't believe that. Also if you can solder to tiny points on the Switch and do it successfully, why couldn't you remove the USB-C port and buttons to make it fit? It will.

No like it not about fitting , more so about power source. Do you really need to drill square in case just to supply power to chip ?

I think the chip uses the power from the switch.

No. No it‘s not necessary to do that.

If you remove the usb and buttons and solder it in nicely it will fit just fine.

Maybe it's best to keep the back cover off untill we have a working firmware that will hopefully allow for updating from the switch like with hwfly-nx toolbox
The rp2040-one looks much easier to hook up to usb

Maybe in lite can remove cardreader and plug rp2040 on this place? Sacrifice headphone jack or make some cable.
