Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Updated from 2.73 to 2.74.
The led blinks *=* and the switch does not work.
NAND is Toshiba THGAMSG9T24BAIL and uses awg32.
Reinstalled by flashing the RP2040 to 2.73 and it worked fine.
How can I use 2.74?
STICK with the working one. You don't have to catch this like the OFW updates

Would you say that it’s better than using the 0.1 enameled wire?
It's all preference. I prefer enameled because it is more malleable and easier to route, but the wire they linked has thicker insulation and less likely to have the insulation scrape off and short something. It is also easier to hold with your fingers.

I would get both and just see what feels better

I use 30awg I believe for the 3v and ground point. I used it for the other points on my first one and ripped DAT0 off the board so I’m nervous to use the insulated wire.
 
My preferences usually about cost :rofl:

Enameled wire are way cheaper.
Ignoring the cost reason i will choose insulated wire.
enameled need practice to solder

i need a month to understand how it work.
first im using 0.1mm but doesnt work for my switch

and then 0.2mm
is success for me

30awg is to thick for everything.
32 is more than enough for mosfet, 3v3 and gnd.
34 is good for 3v3 and gnd as well
For all other lines 38-36 is perfect.
Enamel wire just looks like an unfinished business (for my taste) so I only use it when there is no easy replacement

You hopefully get an answer I just wanted to say your MOSFET soldering is A+.

its true... actually
enamel, i feel need to kapton all, at the end.
you should saw my switch later at the end.(now im still 95% process mod,glitch already, just cleaning up now)

looks like the only way to get smaller sized wire like that is from Aliexpress. Guess ill have to order some then. While enameled wire looks messy its still sufficient to get the job done yeah?
