This game finally is out! But, like other games, this game should have a undub version.
What are some changes between JP and US?:

- Videos are all dubbed. (

Thanks.

I hope the undub works with YSMenu, since the one for Rune Factory 2 didn't. D:

Is there perhaps a way to make RF2 work in YSMenu w/o changing to script of the enlgish version to the japanese one?

I finished with a preliminar patch, undubbed opening, with video scenes in english (sound and text) with japanese voices!

Patch will be released VERY soon, stay alert here if you are interested.

Patch released!
Download here: Rapidshare | Mirror: MediaFire

The only weird thing is that the usa rom was already trimmed when i uncompressed it (119 mb).
If the game fails to patch and you have the full 128 mb game, trim first and after that patch it.
PD: Works in DSTT and also with YSMenu.

* What the patch do?
1- Undubbed opening.
2- Video scenes in english, sound and text (no changes)
3- Japanese Voices (for example, when your character or others attack).

well it looks like the movies want have english subs . so its better to not change them , or either do some hacking

I decided to keep the english movies, because the movies itself have the subtitles, and are a bit important in the main story for understand it.

the movies in in both versions are hard subbed , so the exchanged movies will have only japanese subs . without re-editing the movies its not possible to make a full undub

if the movies have english subtitles, shouldn't we undub it as well then? since we can just read the subtitles to understand the story.

The subtitles are "pasted" with the video. For example, is like a subtitled video from youtube that cannot be edited that subtitle.

Tried undubbing it myself today and of course faced the same problem...

Does anyone know of some muxer & demuxer for that MobiClip DS videos?
I already searched some time ago and couldn't find anything... A similar format is also used for mobilephones etc.
There must be some editor for them. Maybe in the DS SDK?

How to export a DS compatible MOBICLIP file using Virtual Dub

1. Install and authenticate the Mobi Clip Codec
2. Install Virtual Dub
3. Load your movie into Virtual Dub (drag and drop on to the interface)
4. Select video option from the menu bar
5. Choose compression and set to Actimagine Mobiclip for Nintendo DS
6. Set the frame rate (we found 14fps is best to keep lipsyncing at full screen)
7. Select audio option from the menu bar
8. Set the source audio weather it be separate WAV file or already embedded in the AVI file. If no audio then set it to no audio.
9. Select file from the menu bar.
10. Save as AVI.
11. From Command line run avitomobiclipds -in name.avi -out outname.mods (tool supplied with the Mobiclip license).
12. Copy mods file into your DS target directory.

I do but the optometrist I got my glasses at last year was expensive as fuck even WITH my insurance, so I'm gonna order on Zenni and see if my insurance will reimburse it. And if they won't, then, oh well, still will be cheaper anyway
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
$90 for the safety glasses on Zenni, vs my daily wear glasses were >$200 after insurance
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Haven't been to the eye doc in like 3 years but was pretty surprised they cut the glass in office had the in like an hour ready

That's pretty sweet, I had to wait like a week or so for mine to be ready
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Lookin at buying another pair of regular glasses too. And maybe prescription sunglasses
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Yeah most just ship off to a lab could always call around to see if new ones have in office glass cutters

But even my computer monitors, that are like 3ft away when I'm leaning back in my chair, so much easier to see now with my glasses than without
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Doc was cool though, he measured my old glasses and I wanted to try different contacts than I had had previously and he's like "hmmm I bet you're this strength and that strength" and damn dude was dead on the money
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    lmao that clip
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Know a guy who did laser surgery for like 2g but argued you'd never need glasses again
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    laser eye surgery scares me
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
The thought of any kind of surgery shit being done on my eyes gives me unbelievable amounts of dread and anxiety, and with the potential risks or side effects that laser eye surgery has, I don't think my eyes are bad enough to warrant it. I can see without my glasses - not great, but not bad either.
