I didn't go as far as to look up the book, but now I further agree with his parents.

it was my grandparents and they are anti gay anything or anyone that is gay is basically a burning sinner it the same with my parents though the fact that they dont know im gay which is hard to come out as they are

Straight or gay, there's not much tact in putting up a picture from something pornographic on a social forum such as Facebook.

And on top of that, it's drawn pornography. I don't think you would have to walk too far in somebody's shoes to see how they'd be uncomfortable with that.

Try putting up a picture of a hypersexualized, large breasted anime chick; I bet they react similarly
