Hacking Other firmwares and the Sakura backup saver

Okay, just a couple questions.

First, can firmwares from any other flashcarts be used on the M3 Real? Similar to how the Sakura firmware can be used on other cards.

Also, how does the Sakura backup saver work? I read the faq and it said that it just automatically stores recent saves. However, I none of the games I've played recently have any other save files other than their defaults, despite being saved multiple times. How many saves will it store for any one game, and is there a way to backup a save yourself so it wont be deleted?

About the firmwares: No, except the iTouch one which is an M3 product as well and has been hacked and included in the triple loader.
And about the "backup saver": you only have 1 .sav file for a game at any given time, those backups are stored internally in a system file. Once you restore one of those backups you lose the one you had before (as it is overwritten). If you want to keep a save the best thing you can do is to manually bakup the file to your PC.

As for the backup saver I have never used it before. I have saved multiple times on multiple games and none of them have ever had any restore options available.
