Could I buy Ocarina of Time in the eShop and run the oothax installer using smashhax? Is it possible?

And is it possible without updating my firmware? (I'd need to update to the latest firmware to enter the eShop and buy the game)

Now that 11.0's out I think you have to update to access the eShop.

I have never used it either, so I don't know how it works but I can say that there is no risk of auto-updating.
