Here's an english translation patch of One Piece Gear Spirit(J) I made over the past two weeks
with the online One Piece Wiki as my reference.
It's a partial translation.**Almost** everything's translated except for the story dialogue.
I'm not really a fan of the manga and the anime series but,
I really hope this could be a complete translation by next week.
I also changed the font and removed the kanji characters with the help of NFTRedit by DarthNemesis.

For those who want to help with the translation of story dialogue,
I'll be posting a link to a text dump maybe later.

The story dialogue is very short.20-30 lines per character.
But the story's context might change if I translate it
without the help of someone who is well versed with the japanese language.

Oh man, cool. :J

Is Gear Spirit the 3D fighter? IIRC the 2D fighter was called "Gigant Battle"...so this can't be Gigant Battle lol

Nonetheless, I'll try it out later. I remember the sheer amount of Japanese language being one of the setbacks for playing it and enjoying it. :{

gear spirits has been out for a long time.
i doubt both games are coming out in English
What are you talking about?

If Europe's getting it in a couple of months and its in english, while this guy's doing an english patch, how does that make it so both of them won't be available in english??

Unfortunately I am having problems when applying this patch.

1) I am using the clean, untrimmed rom

2) Using xdelta patcher provided

However when I apply the patch an error message shows that there is an invalid check sum..I don't know what this means. Also when I select both the patch and the rom and click apply nothing happens.

Working great for me on CycloDS. Thanks for the translation.

Anyone know what the exact controls are? Every now and then I'll pull off these special moves where my character goes into a full-on animation, but I'm not sure exactly how I'm doing it.

It's been a while since I played Gear Spirit, but I think it's in two steps:

Step 1: Touch a Super Attack card on the bottom screen. You will start flashing.

Step 2: Land a combo (or something) on the enemy to actually transition to the Super Attack cutscene.

I'm not exactly sure how the second step works. I remember it being that ANY attack that connects will trigger the cutscene, but when I played the game for a couple of minutes to try out the translation that didn't seem to work, I had to complete a combo. Maybe they were blocking or something, or maybe I misremembered.
