Homebrew Old 3DS on 7.1.0E Can I use soundhack?

on the soundhack website the lowest payload starts with 9.
My 3ds is on 7.1.0-10E would the exploit still work if i use a 9 payload?
how do i do an offline update to 9.xx if i need it?

I'm pretty sure one of my 3DSes had some 7.x.x firmware and soundhax worked just fine.

Is this the website you're talking about? It should work just fine. It gives an option for 5.x-11.3.

It should also be noted that you can update to 11.13 over the internet and use the Seedminer method if need be.
