Need help with gateway and old 3ds (on FW 4.5.0-10E)

Hello, so i'd like to reuse my old 3ds that is on version 4.5.0-10E after lots of searching i found the gateway cards back and so i'd like to use this. i have no idea on how to do this anymore and can't find a download link to "install" the gateway on it anymore... i'm also kind of scared of downloading a virus instead or something...

can anyone please help me with this? thank you! <3

The Gateway flashcarts are no longer recommended because their functions are superseded by CFW.

Also, if you have not done so already, DO NOT update to 11.17 as this can only be hacked using external hardware or software. Follow https://3ds.hacks.guide on version 4.5.0-10E and then update when it tells you to.

Please stop requesting illegal download locations. This is against forum rules.

The proper way is to dump your cartridges to CIA files and install them with FBI (or have GodMode9 install them right away).

If you want to play a Game Boy game, then obviously you are going to need a Game Boy ROM and a Game Boy emulator.

If you want to use the built-in Virtual Console, then you will need New Super Ultimate Injector.

You should move away from gateway and move to Luma3DS instead.

Yeah, I don't think gateway has been really even viable for a good 6+ years at this point.

Just follow 3ds.hacks.guide to help you install cfw on the system. DO NOT USE VIDEO GUIDES. After you get custom firmware installed, you can do whatever with it. But that is the first step.
