Hacking Okay... I can't seem to upgrade my kernal version

It's seem to be stuck only v1.06 the only one that my r4 can load,
i'm using First champions as my mirco sd card so
any reasons why this is happening? =O any solutions?

I'd be grateful for any help =P

Reformat the card. Also, make sure you delete the _DS_MENU.SYS file whenever you switch to a different version of the loader (a new copy of that file will be created automatically).

why do I have to delete it? and how do I format the card? =O =/ sorry

EDIT: nope it didn't work, and i'm probably not going to reformat
my card, last time I did, it didn't work anymore =/

When I open it, some random chinese characters pop out
in the touch screen and it saids R4 revolution on the top (which is normal)

Have you tried the Chinese versions of the kernels? It sounds like you may have got yourself a Chinese version of the R4.

Yes, I did get a Chinese r4 =P That's probably the reason.. but i can't
seem to find any chinese kernels except v1.06 xD Thanks could
you help me find one?

The r4ds.com website in english doesn't have the downloads, but the Chinese pages do. Here is the download page.

Note that you can get Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese versions, with two download links each.
