Make sure it's a fast, high quality model. The game tends to freeze later on with the slower MicroSD card brands. You'd need a Class 6 or higher iirc.

^YES! So we've gotten a full fix for one cart (or two). Now all we need is to fix it for the others.

BTW, fast MicroSDs are a MUST for the DSONE. The DSTWO I don't think needs it.

I still get double white screens with a trimmed rom on dstwo, even with the patch. Using an 8gb kingston class 4 micro sd on a DS Lite

I can confirm its not working for the CycloDS with the 2.3 update. I'm fine with waiting for the patch, Kirby isn't going anywhere and I have a lot of other games that need playing so...Yeah I got time.

Did not work on my 32GB Class 4 SDMicro with my DSTwo with the latest patches, etc. (as predicted by folks here:(). Strangely enough the game booted with a non-descript 2GB SDMicro that I bought from Deal-Extreme. The background was all messed up for the title screen and it froze when I tried to start a new save (didn't load the save I'd already put on there) but it booted.

I can confirm its not working on the EZ-Vi even with special modes 0 - 10.
Hardware revision : 805
SR : v105 [Not doing the risky update]
Kernel : 3.0 OB6

Tested on SC DSTwo

I have a Sandisk 2Gb NO CLASS LABEL both Jap version and US version OK - Save Games appear to be OK
Sandisk 16Gb Class 4, Jap version works 100% US version = 2 white Screens
tried in DS Phat (Lite is in for repair!) DSi and DSiXL
So it is defo something to do with SD cards/ Speed of cards, BUT if Jap one works then US one should be able to work too, come on SC Team new patch required...

Oh and to confirm I did a FULL format on the 16Gb card using the SD Formatter 3.0 and re-installed everything! still 2 x white screens...

The XXX release works fine with my scds2 v1.05 with the latest patch on both of my genuine Sandisk 8GB microsd cards class 2 (one was bought from DealExtreme, and the other from some local store).
Also no problems with the saving.

I just found out when exactly there are problems with the save data. I played through World 1 a second time and throughout the whole world there was absolutely no problem with saving. But after having reached World 2, the save data was corrupted. I tested to save before the first boss in World 1 and I could restart my save file without any problems. Then I saved after having played the first level of World 2 and when I wanted to reload my save file, it had completely vanished. And by the way: It maes absolutely no difference if you play in Clean or Patch mode. (TESTED WITH SUPERCARD DSTWO)

Is the first post not being updated? I can confirm it working on Supercard dsonei, a patch was released a while back for Kirby Mass Attack US, back on friday i believe. Also, its better if you use a sd instead of sdhc, with an sdhc (class 6 for me), it loads up, but always freezes before you start playing.

Just in case some of you want to play it but can't due to AP, download the Japanese version (or buy the game). The reason I say this is because...well...it's Kirby. The story isn't that heavy in this game, and most everything can be done without knowing Japanese.

Just a lil update with my experience.
Copied everything I have to pc, formatted using sandisk formatter (full format),
Copied everything back to my 8gb class 4 Kingston. It's now running flawlessly.
It's important to do the full format, not the quick option.
If you have at least a class 4, it should solve your problem. Looks like ppl are also having luck with slower cards like class 2. The copying/full format etc may take up an hour or so of your time, but It's worth it.
Cleans out the fragmentation of the card.

I am starting to wonder if there is anybody even making a patch for this. Last month when Kirby (j) was released Akaio never put 1.8.8 update out there for 2 or 3 weeks, so i doubt that will be rushed out just for this. I was hoping for a patch but almost a week with no word on anything or if there is one being made would suck if nobody was lol.

Nobody's bothered at the moment and I'm also wondering the same thing, but I'm just patiently waiting for the game to be patched.

Ya i hear ya not much else we can do. Would be cool to know how to make your own patches, prob not much fun, hours of boring code braking or whatever they do but cool non the less .

Kirby (J) wasn't rushed because it wasn't in English, so many of their flashcart owners didn't want it. The English version crack I'm guessing will have a speedier release, but it still won't be that short.
