I bought a HDD for playing my wii backups and its formated as ntfs (fat32 was not an option). Now every time i open usb loader cfg it says that there is no fat1 partition in the usb slot and asks me to select a different one (i have to do that every time i open the loader), so after that it works properly and lets me play games i backed up. But when i try to install a new game it says that ''ntfs is write disabled! (set ntfs_write=1)''
Where do i do that?
Please help.

PS. I'm using this hard drive:WD ELEMENTS Black 500GB WDBAAR5000ABK 2.5

add "ntfs_write=1" to usb-loader/config.txt. That could be either on your SD card or on your HD (depends on where you installed it. if you used recommended modmii settings it should be on your HD). Check which one has the usb-loader folder.

btw, your HD is a fine choice - one of the best you could possibly have to play backups.

Open "SD:\usb-loader\config.txt", then copy and paste the following lines into it:
CODEntfs_write = 1
partition = auto
If there is already a "partition = " line, delete it.

Open "SD:\usb-loader\config.txt", then copy and paste the following lines into it:
Code:
ntfs_write = 1
partition = auto
If there is already a "partition = " line, delete it.

I copied the part fo the code but it still makes me select a partition, but now it begins writing to disc but it stays at 0.00% and absloutly nothing happens. When i connected the HDD back to the pc there was a folder with the game title and a 0kb file inside with the game title and everything. Did i copy the code wrong?
This is how it looks before any editing:
CODE
# USBLoader config
# lines starting with # are comments
# see README-CFG.txt for help on options

# theme
theme = Blue 2011

# gui
gui = start
gui_transition = fade
gui_style = flow
gui_rows = 2

# device
device = usb

# language related options:
# translation = XX
# db_language = XX

# this is required for asian languages:
# load_unifont = 1

Can you please change the code to how it is supposed to look like?

Replace it with this one. Also make sure Cfg is updated to the latest version.
Im sure it is cuz i downloaded it like two days ago from the link you gave me.
Does it work with the file I just made though?
It does the same. And when i tried to update via the loader it couldnt find the download (from waht i understand cuz it flashes the error message for just a secnd)

When you changed from GX to Cfg, did you delete "SD:\usb-loader\" before putting the Cfg files on?
I dont think so
You probably still have some GX files mixed in there. Delete the folder and replace it with the one in here. Make sure you keep the config.txt file I gave you.

Deleted and replaced it. Now it dosent ask for the drive anymore but the installation of games is the same. Note that it does install to flash drives with no problem at all.

So each game you try to install freezes and creates an empty file?

Well yes, when i use the new HDD it starts installing but the procentage dosent go up. I dont know if ti freezes. Cuz the game is still spinning and the light on the HDD that indicates transfer flickers (like it allways does) but if i turn it off and put it in my computer ther is just an empty file. I tried super mario galaxsy2 and wii sports. (Before I installed wii sports to another usb flash drive and it worked(also zelda TP and pikmin 2)

It's either your HDD, or the NTFS format. You should try FAT32. If your drive is over 1TB, you will need to split the partition. Perhaps 500GB of FAT32 and the rest as NTFS.

NTFS support is still limited.

I cant format it to fat32. When i right click it and select format the only two options are ntfs and exFAT. And no my drive is not 1TB its only 500gb

What are you trying to format it with?

@jcsaxx You didn't follow the directions. Get rid of the Dop-Mii report and the duplicate SysCheck report.

So those games won't work with 249 or 250 on the latest version of Cfg USB Loader?
