If you're able to get DML or devolution to work with other games, but not this one, then it's probably not something you're doing. Check the compatibility thread(s), there may be game specific workarounds listed there, if it's already reported as not working then the devs are most likely already aware of the issues. Based on what info's available in the compatibility lists, you may want to report your problem to the DML\devolution devs in their respective threads and offer to help debug the issues. They'll probably either take you up on your offer or tell you what you're doing wrong (if anything).

Yes its very real. You should always verify the MD5 checksum after ripping a disc. You can get bad rips from scratches or smears on the disc, or even if your laser is going bad.

Just installed the new dol and the same thing happens, beginning gets cut. Maybe it's my launch day Wii or the fact that it's a PAL console/TV and I encoded my video as NTSC.
The checksum doesn't match but the behaviour, filename and version number is exactly the same as the dol you posted so I'm guessing they are the same apart from metadata, maybe?
Not sure what is causing the issue but I guess it's not that important. My guess is that it might actually be my TV adjusting to the NTSC signal at the beginning of the video. What is the best format for videos, I currently have 640x368 NTSC 44.1khz 16bit MPEG2.
Ok, so I installed the newest Dios Mios Lite and updated my cfg usb loader accordingly. I launch the loader, and the loader sees the games I put on my usb. Great, right? But when I try to launch the game, it gives me the following message:
[+] Booting Wii game, please wait...
[+] sd: 0.3GB free of 1.8GB
[+] ERROR: not enough free space!!
Why do I need space on my sd-card? Or was there something I forgot to do.
Obvious guy says:
Have you tried freeing up more space? How much free space do you currently have? Why aren't you posting this in the DML thread for specialized help?
My SD card is almost full, I'm aware of that, I just wonder why I need space on my SD card to launch a game from my usb...
And well, NOOB PARADISE is my paradise. :3

Dios Mios Lite load games off SD, Dios Mios loads off of USB. cfg usb loader mod allows you to copy a GC game from a USB to an SD card to work with DML. If you want to load games directly from the USB, you want to use Dios Mios, not Dios Mios Lite.
Btw, my bad about earlier, I just noticed you already posted "sd: 0.3GB free of 1.8GB"
On a side note, I've never personally even installed DM or DML, but I'm still fairly certain I got my facts straight
I tried installing DIOS MIOS on my EUR Wii, couldn't get it to work because my HDD is USB3.0, now when I put real Gamecube discs in the CD-tray, pop open the Disc Channel, boot the games, and I get a slily black screen and I need to reboot manually to do anything. I tried uninstalling DIOS MIOS and reinstalling the WAD to play normal Gamecube games, but it doesn't help. Any help?
Dumb question, so if it's too dumb please point me to the right direction.
I have some free time tomorrow and I've wanted to do this for a while. I believe my Wii is 3.2U. I have the backup channel installed via Twilight Hack, back in December I was going to unhack it but didn't. I would like to keep the Wii hacked so i can import some EU games later on to play now. So my question is, I have 3 newish games (Zelda Skyward, Last Story U, Xenoblade U) that I want to play and own them. My Wii is severely outdated. What should I install so that I can play those 3 games or what should I do so that I can update? Please excuse the noobness, thank you! I also want to be certain before i do anything, not too interested in buying a new Wii.
Question: So i'm trying to extract model and textures out of Battalion Wars 2 with the help of WiiScrubber and 7-zip (as BW2 has a lot of *.gz files). Anyway (i think) the content i'm after are in *.res files.
I'm having trouble getting Save Game Manager GX to actually show my save data. On loadup I get a "but save datas are missing" error. Then I can't really see all of my save data. It appears my Miis show up , but only a couple random saves show up with zero data. Any ideas on how to fix this?
The site says it needs ios249rev9 or higher or ios 58. All my other homebrew works fine, but how can I check and make sure I've got these installed? I've installed d2x via gaf's tutorial awhile back. Other homebrew like WiiExplorer,Snes9xGX, and WodeFlow work. Tips? ConfigureableUSBLoader works too, last time I checked, but I primarily use wode right now.
Hi! I've been Googling for days about an issue that may be trivial, so here goes...
I recently softmodded a black Wii: barely enough to get WiiFlow running (d2x v8 beta r41, on IOS249[56] and IOS250[57]). I've got three games that WiiFlow won't rip (DSI exceptions): "Zack & Wiki" [RTZE08], "Ben 10: Protector of Earth" [RBNEG9] and "Real Heroes: Firefighter" [RRRE5Z].
I decided to get CleanRip 1.0.5 and WIIMMS ISO Tools (wit) 2.00 and give it a go. The first two games have ripped OK, according to the redump.org checksums; "Real Heroes: Firefighter" wasn't listed. So, I happily went on to convert them to WBFS using wit: wit went through the first two games without error, but both would launch to a black screen and need a hard reset. "Real Heroes: Firefighter" didn't even make it through conversion.
Here are the results of a wit VERIFY against my CleanRip iso's:
wit verify "RBNEG9.iso"
***** wit: Wiimms ISO Tool v2.05b r3611 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2012-04-20 ***
**
+OK .0 UPDATE RBNEG9 RBNEG9.iso
!H0-ERR .1 DATA RBNEG9 RBNEG9.iso
wit verify "RTZE08.iso"
***** wit: Wiimms ISO Tool v2.05b r3611 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2012-04-20 ***
**
+OK .0 UPDATE RTZE08 RTZE08.iso
!H0-ERR .1 DATA RTZE08 RTZE08.iso
My questions:
Both RBNEG9 and RTZE08 verified OK against redump.org, so how come I get wit verification errors?
Is there something I should be doing between CleanRip and wit (e.g. fake signing, etc, even though the doc says the wit COPY command does these things automagically)?
I was at a local sale today and got me a Wii very cheap. I already have a Wii, but hey, the low price made it totally worth it!
But the thing was. I was choosing between a black (NEW MODEL) and a white (OLD MODEL).
Due to the pressure at the sale, i made a quick decision to buy myself a white (OLD MODEL). But now I am wondering if there are any differences when it comes to hacking? Should I´ve been taking the black (NEW MODEL) instead?
