Hi. If i brick my wii what file do i need to use inorder to un brick it. I heard u need a systemmenu wad and install it from the wad manager. How exactly do you un brick a wii if you have preloader installed?

If you have preloader and brick during the installation of a new System Menu, then say good-bye to your Wii, cause the Sysmenu will overwrite preloader and you wont be able to access preloader again, hence it ihas been deleted, if you semi-brick installing a health screen or installing a corrupted channel, then enter in the preloader options, and load HBC, over there you can uninstall with Wad Manager the corrupted channel and fix it, if is because of the health screen, then use the softmii tweak tool to re-install your original (from an already NAND dump before messing around with any of this things) 00000042.app(NTSC) or 00000045.app(PAL), and that will fix itif you delete IOS30 with Any Title Deleter, I really don't think you can recover from that even with preloader or a SaveMii dongle....!!!

I want to unnisntall Starfall on my Wii, but when i execute it on my Wii it give me a error. (I have softmii/riskii installed)

Is there other way to remove starfall from my wii?

if you have a corrupted SD or a corrupted SysMenu289.wad andyou attemo to install and in the middle of the installation Wad Manager stops, you're probably screwed, but using SoftMii you wont get to do that, unless you want to re-install a new sysmenu289.wad, wich is the most stupid thing you can ever do, if you want to get rid of softmii, just update to 3.4 and you're done, do never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever delete any IOS, in fact do never use Wad Manager to uninstall anything, just check the new thread about a wii not starting up...!!!

Yes I use softmii tweak tool, you put your file from healtii in the root of your SD renamed as 00000042.app for NTSC-U or 00000045.app for PAL, and then just run the tweak from HBC, it will detect your file and then hit A to install it, make sure you already have preloader installer, if anything goes wrong you can always access to preloader -> HBC -> tweak tool and reinstall your original 42/45.app file from your already exitent dump (wich by this time if you are messing around with these tool I can guess you have it in your PC, right..??)...!!!

BTW: if it gives you an error the .dol it is corrupted or something, reformat your SD and put back all the files in there, or get the softmii package from another place

the .wad needed is the SysMenu file, you can get it if you do a FS_Dumper and repack it from your own files, not that hard

Basically you run the .exe, select the sysmenu.wad, select the image you want, disable the splash and run it, if it gets stuck at some window asking for something to open, you need to rename any file to 00000001.app and then open it and ask the tool to pack it, then without closing anything you just copy that 1.app file to your SD

for the healtii installer you need to create a folder in the root of your SD called healtii (not sure) and place there the file you created renamed as anything.health

if you use the search function in megashares.com it is possible you can find the package, and if you use the tweak tool you need to place the file in the root of your SD and rename as 00000042.app if you are NTSC-U or 00000045.app for PAL...!!!

believe me it could be your SD, I was about to full brick without any chance of fixing a week ago just because my SD was corrupted and it is not like the card tells you, most of the files in there can function correctly, but some not, and this may be the stupidest question I'll ever made but, why you aren't going to reformat it..?? well you know what that is not my bussines, you do whatever you please...!!!

I don't think you can uninstall Starfall anymore since you installed preloader which Replaces the original main.dol on the SysMenu

believe me it could be your SD, I was about to full brick without any chance of fixing a week ago just because my SD was corrupted and it is not like the card tells you, most of the files in there can function correctly, but some not, and this may be the stupidest question I'll ever made but, why you aren't going to reformat it..?? well you know what that is not my bussines, you do whatever you please...!!!

I don't want to lose anything that's on there. That's why. What could I do to keep all of it?

Copy it to somewhere else, reformat it, and copy it back.

If you fail to even do that, I suggest you quit homebrew

Is there a way to remove everything, like all the custom ios and all the hacks that is done to a wii, and install nintendo's firmware on it, like when it first came out of the box, but with the savefile/channel/mii? Sorry im new to this. I tried CIOS downgrader and install 3.2U from 3.4U and it seems the custom ios is still on there so im confused. If i upgrade to 3.4 will i loose the c ios? idk what is on/done with this wii...

ok i see. i can just update to 3.4 to get rid of everything and then downgrade again. okey dokey then thanks very much. btw if anyone wants i can make some pretty decent 3d images for health screens. here a 2 i made in 3ds max 9 and edited them in photoshop.

well if you have enough space on your PC you can put all there, then perform the SD format, and then put it back to your SD, besides your error could be only that the tweak tool .dol is just bad and you can get another copy and then try again without even do such complicated task as doing a SD format...!!!

if you went to 3.4 and then back to 3.2, that means you only have IOS249 and the HBC installed that is not part of "N", so you need either Any Title Deleter and delete ONLY IOS249, I don't want to be harsh or rude or hard on you but I will warn you that if you delete anything else in 00000001 folder, you can end with a nice 250usd paper weight, got that..?? once you delete IOS249 go to the Wii settings and delete the HBC from there and that's it...!!!

Mmmm.... I have never seen one, only in .dol format to go inside your HBC, but use the search tool in GBATemp and type "DJDynamite apps channel", and check there if there is one DVD channel

Try again with softmii_095.rar or simply softmii, I think I fixed it...!!!

ok one more noobish question. Uhh oh yeah ok so i need to use the FS browser inorder to get the 00000042.app right? where can i find it (what directory), and what button do i press to dump it?
