Forgive me if i'm posting this in the wrong section.

So i played a bit of Castlevania dawn of sorrow on the No$GBA emulator via PC. Had a little fun used a cheat or two, wanted to go & use that save on my 3DS via TWLoader.
I figured i'd just drag & drop the .sav file into my rom area on the SD card for TWLoader. That doesn't seem to work tho so i was wondering if it's even possible or am i doing it wrong.

All help is appreciated

I seemed to get it to work!

I trashed No$GBA & used DeSmuME instead. Saved & grabbed that file, renaming the .dsv to .sav & it works on my 3DS now!
So for the future if anyone else runs into this too. Don't use No$GBA.

there might be a save converter somewhere that can convert your save, you could google nds save converter

It's actually because of how No$GBA treats saves (you can change the save type in the options though). No need to use DeSmuME, just use No$GBA with the same setting as that the DS uses.

That's exactly what i was doing! Maybe i was doing it wrong, picking the wrong options but when i grabbed the save file from the other emulator, changed the format & put it on my 3DS. It worked 1st time, compared to the No$GBA way which i've been trying since last night.

@ThoD
I wasn't aware of that! I will keep that in mind then. Thank you.

Visit here for convert any save games between No$gba and real DS!

http://www.shunyweb.info/convert.php

That's exactly what i was using! Although i think i was choosing the wrong format to convert it to.
Since i was at it for like an hour last night from no$gba to my 3ds but i winded up using another emulator & it worked 1st try.
Thank you tho! Now i need to have a mod close this.

:)

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
