I

If I recall correctly I think other people had the exact same issue but I don't remember if they were using a GameCube controller or a different controller with analog sticks but I do remember it happening before.

I've searched this thread and the forum and have not found this problem described in this way. I see a lot of complaints about GC controller "drift" but this does not seem like a drift problem. The HIDTest reads it as a Nintendo GC Controller Adapter based on the VID and PID but I'm not sure if there are other problems I'm not seeing.

Whenever I push the analog stick to the maximum position the character will move in the OPPOSITE direction of my analog stick. This problem only occurs when I push the stick all the way in a particular direction. So if I slightly push it in any direction the character will walk normally. I have my controller connected to a Mayflash 4-port adapter.

Sounds kind of like an integer overflow problem. I was going to suspect the Mayflash, but since you have no issues with it on PC then it might just be a compatibility issue with vWii.

I got the 4-port Mayflash a few days ago and did some brief testing on Wii without issues, but I'll do some more extensive testing on vWii with both wired and Wavebird and see if I can reproduce it.

edit: actually you would have had the Mayflash DIP switch set to USB for PC and WiiU/NS for vWii, so maybe the Mayflash is doing something weird when set to the latter.

Hello.

Got this installed and it's outstanding, perfect emulation.

I also installed the Wii U forwarder which allows you to play on the Wii U gamepad with the downside being SD support only. Will the problem of the usb loader deactivated while using the forwarder be fixed?, it would save me buying a bigger sd card.

Also, is there a way to load another game without the reboot? I know this is unnecessary using a USB loader, but I like playing with the Wii U gamepad.

Thanks.

It's not something that is broken. It cannot be "fixed" as you put it.

Just so you know, Nintendont is NOT an emulator. GameCube games are running natively in Wii mode. Very few things are actually emulated like the memory cards like if not on a Wii without GameCube memory card slots and Wii U. Same goes for controllers except on Wii's with GameCube Controller ports with Native mode on.

I believe USB devices not working is normal when using a forwaorder with the Gamepad.

Thanks. This made me realize that I may just have a faulty WiiU/NS mode on my Mayflash adapter. I'll try for a replacement and see if the issue is resolved.

I wou‎ld li‎ke to pl‎ay the G‎ame‎cu‎be's Ma‎rio Par‎ty ga‎mes with some pe‎ople using Nint‎end‎ont, but I don't know if it is possible with the current co‎ntrollers we have.

I have the Wi‎iU Ga‎me‎pad (obviously), Wi‎iU P‎ro Co‎ntro‎ller, Sw‎itch Pr‎o Con‎tr‎oller and a Du‎alsho‎ck 4.

I also have a 8‎bit‎do ada‎pter if that helps (I use it to pl‎ay the Wi‎iU P‎ro Con‎troll‎er on my Swi‎tch som‎etimes).

I do‎n't ca‎re if it has to be wi‎re‎d or n‎ot. Could it be po‎ssi‎ble for u‎s 4 pla‎ye‎rs us‎ing th‎ose con‎trol‎ler‎s? How?

Tha‎nks.

you could do 3 not 4 since you cant use 2 hid controllers at the same time so using nintendont injected on wiivirtual console you can use

wiiu gamepad player 1
wiiu pro controller player 2
dualshock 4 player 3(wired to wiiu at all times)

hopefully your controllers are original and not fake/3rd partys or those might have issues or not work at all on nintendont.

to do 4 players you either buy another bt controlller:
another wiiu pro
wiimote+Classic controller
wiimote+classic controller pro
wiimote+nunchuck(it wokrs but misses alot of button and i dont recomend it at all specialy for mario party games...)

or buy a single hid device with more than one port(since they are considered a single hid device with multiple ports) like
dual ps2 devices(can use 2 original ps2 controllers at a time)~
wiiu/switch GC adapter can use up to 4 gc controllers at the same time

the limitations on controllers is
only 1 wiiu gamepad on wiivc injections
only 1 hid device at a time

there is no limit for compatible BT controllers wiiu pro,wiimote+cc/ccpro/nunchuck

Could use some help getting my OEM GC controller working properly with Nintendont on my Wii U.

I have HIDTest loaded and I cannot figure out what exactly is wrong and how to fix it. Do I need to make a custom controller configuration? I have my HID Test screen uploaded.

I should note that I tested the controller using the same adapter on my PC and it works flawlessly.

I bought another Mayflash adapter and I'm having the same problem described above when using my original Gamecube controller. I also purchased a second controller (a Wireless TTXT Wavebird knock-off) and when I use the analog stick the in the maximum diagonal position the character walks but if I only slightly push the stick diagonal the character will run. The analog stick on the TTXT works fine otherwise.

At this point I'm wondering if there is a compatibility issue with my controllers. I tested the controllers with the adapters on my PC and it worked fine but maybe there's a compatibility issue with the WiiU/NSW mode. My GC controller is allegedly a refurbished Japanese model according to the Ebay seller and it looks and feels legit but I have no idea what's going on on the inside.

If anyone is aware of a software fix for this issue please help. Thanks.

Maybe its your mayflash product that isnt 100% legit, there are alot of fakes/3rd partys and the stick values are not the same as the ones codded in.

Thanks. I guess I'll return these and keeping trying. Maybe the 2 port Mayflash will work.
you should just get an official wiiu/switch gc adapter, they might be abit more pricey but they are guaranteed you get the best product out of all for nintendont really.

yes, they are all original controllers

so I'm guessing you can't use the Switch's Pro Controller on Nintendont?

also what is a hid controller?

sorry for the noob questions...

HID is the type of USB controller that Nintendont can see. It's controllers like the PS3/PS4 and most USB controllers. The only exception to this is Xbox controllers which are XINPUT and are not out of the box compatible with Nintendont.

nope switch pro controller is not coded for nintendont.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just purchased an official Wii U GC adapter (WUP-028) and the issue is unchanged. The sticks are displaying the same exact numbers in HIDTest compared to the Mayflash adapter and the left stick on my OEM GC controller is being read as DOWN when I push it to the maximum UP position.

I have a Chinese classic controller and it works wonders, IF attached to a genuine wiimote. That's the key. Fake wiimotes do not work with nintendont.

what nintendont version are you using? are you sure your gc controller is official and not a fake/3rd party? seems to me your gc controller is either fake or its damaged/messed.

Thanks guys.

does the Classic Controller/Pro for the Wiimote have to be the original? because I only find rebranded copies like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/OSTENT-Classic-Controller-Compatible-Nintendo/dp/B00FJ2LPBW/

And they are way cheaper too, so if that works then it's okay for me.
yeah use original only, fake/3rd party ones have no garantee to work on any homebrew that includes nintendont. you can also buy a wiiupro controller it even works on nintendont on the wii.

if you search ebay for official wii controller you can find them, not sure about amazon tough

that is a gamble, i have a fake CC that works and one that doesnt on nintendont both attached to the same original wiimote so yeah i dont recomend it tbh.

I am absolutely positive that someone else had this exact issue with a GameCube controller. Does this happen in all games or only certain ones? Also what Nintendont version are you using? I think the issue was specific to Pokémon XD if I’m remembering correctly where the character would go opposite if the control stick was pushed to max. I believe it was eventually fixed.
