yes sir plugged it out and a "regular" ps4 controller worked just fine
while ps3,ps4 and wiiugcadapter are hid devices they need an activation bit to start sending hid signals, im guessing that controller altough it a ps4 controller uses another activation bit or pid/vid.

@GerbilSoft i finally updated nintendont to 4.435 and i like the new color codes and built in md5 checker. speaking of the md5, after calculating the md5 does it then compare that md5 to all the md5 in the database or does it find that game title/id in the database and then compare the two md5's? because i ran a md5 check and i got the message md5 not found in database. i didn't know if that meant the game was not in the database or my md5 was wrong meaning i have a bad rip.

@FIX94 is there any chance when we launch a gc game via a usb loader we can at least see the nintendont background image instead of staring at a black screen for about 6 - 8 seconds? something similar to way dios mios does.

So, I can't seem to find a way to get this to work. I'm using a classic Wii, and I'm trying to use Pokemon Box Ruby & Sapphire with my copy of Emerald. When it tries to link to the Game Boy, it takes a second and then says the connection failed. My copy of Emerald has a fresh battery, my save meets all the requirements, my GBA-GCN Link Cable works (I tried it on a GameCube with Wind Waker), I have native control turned on, and none of my hardware is a boot-leg. I've also tried it on two different Game Boys. Is there something I'm missing? What should I try next?

Hi,
I exclusively run NGC games from my SD card.
could someone please advise me if/how I would go about modifying the source files in order to automatically pick 'sd' and do away with the SD / USB selection screen?
thx
:)

no one has ever done that tbh so no idea.

It only checks the MD5. Some titles might not have MD5s in the database. (I used GameTDB as a source.)

What game is it (name, game ID, and revision), and what's the MD5?

Also you have to manually download the DB if you didn't already. (It's available on the Update screen.)

The Redump database is complete as far as I know. I think the site is still down but I have a copy of the gc.dat file still if you want it. (Or you can still get it from gc-forever.)

Thanks i know. I saw your previous post and manually check the dat. My md5 didnt match the one have. But my game works. Maybe i havent played it long enough to crash.

@GerbilSoft i did the update and downloaded it. Thanks for the reply.

Scooby doo unmasked ... Lol.

I actually have that in the basement from the huge box of GC games I bought from a local store. I'll see if a rip of it matches.

make sure your nint forcing settings that you think are harmless when they arent like width, forced progressive, forced widescreen, forced videomodes, unlocked speed and etc.

That wouldn't change the MD5 hash, though. :P

EDIT: I had it ripped already:
Screenshot (13).png

It's in the Redump DB at least.

yeah he has a bad dump or shrunken iso im guessing.

Thanks for the reply, picture below (sorry for mobile quality). My Wii, GameBoy, Emerald, and Box are the same regions, and all English. I can double check the ISO, but I don't see any reason why it would be corrupt.

make sure your iso is good first you cant imagine how manny bad dumps and shrunken stuff people use.

turn width to auto or 0 whatever the default value is, drive acess led to off, and if all else fails try turning mcemu on sometimes real memory cards can be picky.

Does anyone know of a mod of Nintendont that replaces this godawful UI? Or a suitable replacement?

Use a Wii USB loader like USB Loader GX, CFG USB Loader or Wiiflow. The recent versions of them can boot straight to the game. Nintendont didn't even have a menu originally. :)
