just use something like imgburn to create an image of them, they should work just fine then in nintendont or dolphin afterwards.

Oh cool! Didnt know imgburn would read them. Thanks!!

Also just for my understanding here..... Wii was essentially a higher clocked GC with some other enhancements.

For the WIIU, the GPU is totally different. Is there actually emulation going on when in wii/ GC nintendont mode, or is the GPU actually doing something that makes it 1:1 with the wii specs?

THANKS!!

theres 2 gpus on the wiiu, there is the GX gpu and the GX2 gpu wich are totaly diferent not even nintendo made a code to emulate GX they just putted it there lol.

the cpu was specifically chosen to be an older model so it could be downclocked to run at wii clock speeds.

So literally Nintendont on the Vwii is just more or less "unlocking" GC mode right? Should be 100% compatibility right? Any GC games that don't run for whatever reason?

there is no gamecube mode, nintendont patches the game to essentially run like a wii game and provides it with the data it needs in the background while its running, theres quite a lot of complicated stuff going on.

99.9% of games work 100%. The only ones that don't work is anything that requires the Modem or Broadband Adapter as those haven't been emulated yet and there really is no one interested in doing it either although I'd love some 8-human player Mario Kart: DD action.

The GBA Adapter only works on the Wii with GC ports and only if Native Controllers is on which turns off all non-GC controllers like USB/Bluetooth.

That is so amazing.

Ordered the gamecube adaptor!

One last question for ya. I am using it with USBloaderGX. Now I can select the game through the USB loader but it just pops me into nintendont program that lists all the GC isos on it. Is that the expected behavior? Or is there a way to just direct launch the games through the USB loader?

THanks all!

If it's not launching your GC game directly you've probably got either an out of date USB Loader GX or Nintendont. Latest GX is r1262, latest Nintendont is r425.

Will double check tonight! Thanks so much!

One last question. How does Nintendont handle multi disk games? Will USB GX mount both of them and call it disk 1 and 2?

How do you name the ISO;s?

You name them game.iso and disc2.iso. using usb loader gx if "disc prompt" is enabled usbloader gx asks you wich tonload, otherwise it will load disc 1 by default and then swap to disc 2 if the savegames that you will load once in game is related to disc2.

I prefere to use the prompt but remember thst Nintendont has an issue: if u boot disc2 and then select a new game, or load a savegame from disc 1 Nintendont canNOT swap back to disc 1 and tou need to reset.

This is not true, a lot of people wants, is asking and waits for the broadband adapter emulation, not only for lan games, but for PSO too.

Ok so just to be clear. Disk 1 is called game.iso and disk 2 is called disc2.iso?

Bonus question on top of that one.
Wiibackup manager does a super nice job of auto naming the files what they need to be named for Gx to pick it up.

Any suck program for GC? I have iso's named like this for example:
NBA Courtside 2002 (USA).iso

But what about a program that will auto name a folder to what GX can mount?

Thanks again all, you are all great!@!

Yes you name disc.1 game.iso and disc 2 disc2.iso

Usb loader gx can read and list the game (assuming that they are named game.iso) with every folder name, example:
  • "usb/games/NBA courtside 2002 usa version/game.iso"
  • "usb/games/NBA courtside 2002/game.iso"
  • "usb/games/nba courtside/game.iso"
So the title id is not mandatory, but is recommended to put it in the folder name like
  • "usb/games/NBA courtside 2002 usa version[GNBE01]/game.iso"
  • "usb/games/NBA courtside 2002[GNBE01]/game.iso"
  • "usb/games/nba courtside[GNBE01]/game.iso"
This because (especially when you a lot of ISOs, i'm at 195) usb loader gx can read the id from the folder name speeding up a lot the listing process instead of opening ISO--->reading the id inside the iso--->close the iso, that slows down the entire process.

I don't know any software that do this thing, i edit them manually (searching the id at gametdb.com) with this format "Game name (region)[titleid]", like in the image attached where JAP is for japanese games, USA for USA games, PAL for PAL games only in english (or multilanguage but without italian), PAL ITA for the alternative PAL version with only my native language and PAL MULTI 4/5 for the PAL version with italian and other languages.

This software. Aside from verifying your rips it can rename and order your isos.

Sorry, my bad. This is what you want: Attached

Thank you! I didn't know about it! I really appreciate even if as u can see i have a particular way to rename my folder (because i want to know region and languages included) so it will probably be useseless for me.

But thank you again!
Even so, you could run it through the app, and then add region and languages as you wish.
