OK, I discovered the source of problem! HID broke some games since r236 (r235 works good). When I turned off HID option and connected GameCube controller problematic titles are running fine. So..., here is updated version of my previous compatibility list (r251, Wii, usb, shrinked isos, ocarina off, hid off, vmc on [59 blocks], progressive off, widescreen off):

1080 Avalanche - works without any problems. With HID on stucks on title screen pretty often.
Baten Kaitos - works without any problems (music plays fine!),
Baten Kaitos Origins - works without any problems (music plays fine!),
Bomberman Generation - works without any problems. With HID on stucks on loading screen (it's broken since r236. R235 works without any problems),
Eternal Darkness - works without any problems. With HID on stucks on poem screen [Edgar Allan Poe: "Deep into..."] (it's broken since r236. R235 works without any problems),
F-Zero AX - works without any problems (save card isn't emulated yet),
Legends of Wrestling - stucks on loading screen (after movie intro),
Luigi's Mansion - works without any problems, but you can't watch "Pikmin Movie" (included in the options),
Mario Kart Arcade GP - works without any problems (save card isn't emulated yet),
Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 - works without any problems (save card isn't emulated yet),
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes - works with one minor exception: controller doesn't work/respond on first screen (when you can choose to play with progressive on/off). I noticed that this is earlier problem (long before r251),
StarFox Adventures - works without any problems. With HID on stucks during first Fox McCloud mission (when you ends fly through rings - it's about 4% of game),
Virtua Striker 4 ver. 2006 - console turn off after/during boot,
Wave Race: Blue Storm - works without any problems. With HID on stuck on title screen (it's broken since r236),
XGRA Extreme G Racing Association - works without any problems. With HID on stucks during loading the race pretty often.

i confirm hid has an issue for instance virtua striker 3 randonly freezes if you use hid while if you use BT it works perfectly so yes hid was a crashing bug in alot of games now so everyone using hid controllers be aware the crashes can be from the hid code.

Hey, do any versions of Sonic Heroes output in widescreen with Nintendont? I used the JPN version with Nintendont and the widescreen was stretched.
Well the game is still crashing so yes it still needs working, maybe a widescreen patch would be implemented eventually, I reverted back to Dios Mios for this game anyway!

Edit: Scratch that to avoid any more confusion, I thought he was talking about Sonic Riders, from my testing Sonic Heroes works great with Nintendont (even the proto version, just saying) it never seemed to cause any problem for me, then again I rarely play this game as I'm not a big fan of it, I prefer the Adventure games and Shadow The Hedgehog myself but anything with Sonic on it I like =p

today i played RE1 on nintendont 249 for 50 minutes and didnt have a single freeze so whoever was having freezes check your settings

rev 249,full iso
everything OFF except mcemu 259 and usb, BT controller(wiiupro)
updated the compat list becuase RE1 has no random freezes.

remenber hid is having several issues on games wich makes it freeze so if your suing hid that could be the cause.

It doesn't crash here, not that it's of use but devo doesn't support widescreen for this game either.

This has been bothered me for sometime, when I apply the widescreen patch it show a more accurate aspect ratio BUT it screw some objects in game, for example in Resident Evil 2 the files and ammunition items get dephased position, and the item box cover size gets shorter. It happen with other games too, for example in Melee the text is out the place, it seems to me some objects renders at anamorphic 4:3 while others keep the original aspect ratio.

The Widescreen patch is a hack... you shouldn't expect it to be perfect. It's subjective if it improves things for you or not. I can put up with minor glitches here and there and some codes have been patched in to fix some issues for certain games. But the main problem is simply that these games were never intended to support widescreen in the first place.

You just saved me the test for that one.
Thanks for the info!
Only one remaining then is RE Zero. :P

I can confirm that this happens with Eternal Darkness Howard FIX94

Just worked a bit on triforce because I felt like it and came up with my first small triforce game patch :)
-added a patch for f-zero ax which replaces the motor init screen directly with the controller setup in order to greatly reduce the initial loading time
-made triforce game patching a bit more dynamic
-removed unused triforce code

It doesn't crash for you, HOW? I made a clean 1:1 rip and tried both NTSC and PAL and it still crashes, in the NTSC version after the third race and in the Pal version after the last race in the Babylons.

Hmm, Mario Kart 1&2 Arcade GP works OK but after boot F-Zero AX all I can see is screen "Error11 JVS I/O is not connected to main board". My settings: Wii, USB, vmc on, hid off, progressive & widescreen off.

that can sometimes happen, just try again until it works.

Hello everybody. First of all congrats to all the people who made Nintendont possible, and are improving it greatly almost everyday. I have a little problem for which I haven't found the solution in that topic (although I might just have missed it) : I own a PAL wii and used to force games to progressive with DML without problem, but with Nintendont my TV tells me that this resolution is not supported ? No progressive nor PAL60, so I'm usually stuck with 50i. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Sorry if my question can seem stupid, and thank you in advance to anybody who could give me an answer. Cheers and long live to Nintendont and the GC/Wii !
