I updated to the latest version of Nintendon't (thanks FIX!) and I have a strange issue to report.

I tried to load different games from USB Loader GX with no success. Instead, the loader displays the following message " Error! This version of Nintendont does not support games from USB ."

Wiiflow seems to run them just fine. Really weird!

Has anyone faced the same problem?
Nintendont broke the detection again?
We really need a method to detect the version number.
Using compiled date string detection by parsing the dol is not a viable solution.

Hey guys, i cannot get PSO+ to work for me and it is due to a mistake on my part, cause others have gotten it to work.
I am 99% sure it is due to me not having a PAL iso for this game (haven't managed to track a PAL PSO+ iso) and my CRT TV unable to handle ntsc video, anyway here is the info:

I doubt its ur TV personally but try video mode force PAL 50/60? Ive had this game working with similar settings. Are you sure you have the "+" version? If i remember right at the date settings page you click " no" not "yes"

Once you get passed that initial set of questions you never get asked them again. I think if you can get a save file in ur collection it will solve the problem. Unfortunately I dont have a dropbox account so Im not sure how I can send u

Is anyone else having the Progressive mode issues on newer updates currently using rev 207. Games like Mario Kart Double Dash Super Smash Bros Melee Sonic Adventures 2 No longer give me the progressive option when booting up. It constantly runs in 480i. I'm using component cables on Wii and it would work on earlier rev (197 I believe).

Have you tried forcing progressive?

Have you tried forcing progressive?
Whoops let me check.
Tested Mario Kart Double Dash, Sonic Adventures 2, Super Smash Bros Melee.
Video mode set to auto using native controls and forcing progressive using component cables on wii. I don't get the progressive mode option in game but my tv says 480p.
Would this still be considered an issue?
Would putting ntsc60 in the video mode options maybe fix this? i dont know.

I would suggest you update Nintendont to 2.205 as this may fix your issue as controller stuff has been overhauled in the latest revisions.

Just upgraded to 2.207 .

Freezing issue , when using the left analog stick in a Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 persisted, but I found a workaround!

I noticed that the problem only manifested hen I was using the left analog stick (and NOT when I was using the left digital d-pad). So I did the following

In the 046D-C219.ini ,

I completely erased the line

"Power=6,40"

and now I can use both left analog (or left d-pad) with no freezes. ( I power off manually from wii )

Finally an observation:

Upgrading from 2.197 to 2.207 gave me a noticeable added crispness in graphics. Iam connecting my Wii to my TV using an RGB scart cable (equivalent to a component YRB connection for you Americans). A minor issue: I had to "force" the video to PAL60 when I played zelda wind waker. Until now, Video = Auto was enough. (Very minor issue though - no complains ! )

Many thanks to nintedont dev team for an excellent product.

same issue. USB Loader GX not load any game with this message. no visible version number of nintendont in credits

There is no such thing as NTSC60. All NTSC is 60hz regardless

Just for the record...
I just completed both Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD as far as it can go without entering the everlasting Colosseum battles and GBA trading.
This means Story Mode 100% completed, every Shadow Pokemon purified and captured.
I'm not going for the Mt. Battle and Colosseum extras as that is time consuming and annoying as hell.

But yeah, no issue whatsoever in both Playthroughs :)

I worked on it this weekend but stopped when adding deflicker.
I'm trying to keep all older version working too. for that I need to detect the used version to decide which settings to sent to nintendont, but detecting new nintendont version is becoming harder.
I don't want to drop older version support, some games only work with old one.

I'll find a way to make everything working again, but I don't like the way I'm currently detecting the version, it's a different method for each version.

Does this error only occur when force progressive is enabled?

Yes, only when Force Progressive is enabled, the game works perfect when it's off. And I know it's such a minor thing but I want to know if it's a problem on my end because nobody else seems to be experiencing it and 480p it's marked green on the compatibility wiki.

Ok. This is a weird one. I can confirm you error without using a loader. However in wiiflow, if i set it to 480p PAL it works. Does anyone know if the video mode in wiiflow actually alters nintendont video settings? Or is it only working for devo/dm(l)?

Ive also spotted a bug in Nintendont. Hardly a biggy tho. If you change a video setting that causes a dsi exception. Then reload nintendont and change the setting back to its original, you will still get the dsi exception again when re-loading. If you then re-start the game again it will load fine

Forcing video modes from a loader to nintendont has been broken since 2.204.
