Finaly finished my playaround with my cache.txt for zelda windwaker ntsc :)
It may be compatible with the pal version, maybe not... Testing is required ;)
Here we go :P Time to test see if it works or not :P

uhm, I dont know if you know what you're doing, but nintendont can only cache up to 220 files up to about 29mb size total, you list 300 files there...

Sorry for being a noob but how does cache.txt work do I have to format my hdd to 64 k clusters instead of 32k clusters and is that only for games that support cache or can I put them all on the 64k clusters hdd? I realize by reading 300 posts that the cache.txt has to contain files so that I know I just want to know if I have to format it

I've been trying to get the WiiU Pro Controller to work with the Mayflash USB adapter. I've been using the controller.ini from the Nintendont SVN. All the buttons seem to work except start, and Y and B seem to be switched. Also the L and R triggers register on and off repeately when pressed. When I hold R down it acts like I'm repeatedly tapping it.

When I used HIDTest, the offset and value for the Start(+) button appear to be 3, 02 (it's hard to tell because the numbers flicker on my tv so they're very hard to read). I changed the values for start in the controller.ini to 3, 02 and now when I try to play a game it's like the start button registers repeatedly every 1-2 seconds when I'm not even pressing it. Any ideas about what could be wrong? Is there a way to make L and R work properly? I know that the analog function isn't possible, but how can I get the triggers to stay pressed when I hold them down?

Does it depend on the game? So far I've tried Luigi's Mansion, Double Dash, and Melee.

Also I've been testing with 1.39

It sounds like your controller is at fault, it's not supposed to be flickering when you connect it and load HIDTest, it should have all the values unchanged while you're not pressing anything. Maybe that usb adapter isn't working.

I think that's no longer necessary because of a change in latest revisions, just try with your HDD as it is and it should work. Edit: Also, all games support cache, it's just that some might not be that much affected because they already run at good speeds.

oups :P Really that much files, 300 :O
Strange, it works...

Everybody is free to edit it if they want, too.

I'll take a loot at it now, thanks for your work. I can't believe I didn't think of enabling that option in Dolphin, but it's not very obvious either. I'll later try making a cache.txt for Twilight Princess to fix the load times when moving between areas.

I'm pretty sure if someone caches the file for delfino plaza and the boot screens, it will easily save around a minute. Crazy loading times in SMS. I'll look into creating a file.

I have a test file for super mario sunshine ntsc-u if you would like to try it out, my computer won't run dolphine very fast so it is hard for me to get very far in the game to add more files to it

Your mayflash adapter is in turbo mode. press home twice within half a second to turn it off.
2, 02 cant be the correct value for start. It is one of the joystick axis.
If your making changes to a controller.ini make sure it works in HIDTest before trying it in games.

That's fine. I went ahead and ordered a GC controller and Mayflash 3-in-1. I'd rather have analog triggers working and original button layout like Nintendo intended.

This project is amazing and it makes me proud to be a WiiU owner. Much thanks to the devs and all involved.

just commited r40, hopefully we are up to the compatibility again we had before.
Nope. r40 broke Starfox Assult. R39 would boot to the health screen or a black screen with a large flashing white box on the bottom of the screen whare the press something to continue on the health screen shoud be should be. (never did figure out when it would display which one.) if you pressed a key or let it time out the game would work perfectly. with r40 I get "an error has occured. Turn the power off and refur to ..." error message instead.

Weird, for me this game runs fine as before.

FIX94 would it be possible to modify the code for the cache read so that lines starting with # or // are skipped in the txt? That way we could add a small description of what files are being cached. That would help others to know where to expect improvements in speed.
