Thanks FIX94 - But I know that much. But how can I apply the cheat using the original disc - ie - where would I put the file to get the button mappings correct..?

Also any idea on the forwarder?
no clue for the forwarder but the gct goes into a "codes" folder on the root then to be generically detectable.

OK. So as soon as I enable cheats on the game - be it disc or iso - if I put it in SD://codes/ - it will know to change the buttons...? But it only effects that very game? Am I right?

So, using an Iso - I do not have to have it in the game's folder too then? Thank you for fantastic info and help! ;)

Can other cheats still be added to the game?

For any further questions about Nintendont i would like to encourage you to read the first page, your questions will probably be answered there..

Ofcource if you can't find the answer there you can ask.
I am asking this in general to keep the thread as clean as possible,,

Etheboss - I will, some things are however a wee bit unclear in that post, which was why I was asking for clarification.

For example - SD://codes/ - is a universal folder? and will be read by both iso and actual game?

Also I can't make out if more than 1 cheat can be added to the same game? and if so - how?

Also the Game Channel forwarder question applies too - not 100% if it should be here - but some people here might be in the know.

Like i said, if it isn't in the first post, you can ask, but people skip it and ask many questions that are answered lots of times already.

Now to answer some questions :P
the SD://codes/ or USB://codes/ folder can be used if you want to keep all your codes in one place, you still also can place your cheatfile in the folder of the game, but that is up to you on how you like it best. I think that if you want to use the codes with discs you NEED to place your cheatfile in the codes folder...

If you want to use more cheats with a game then you have to edit the cheatfile yourself.. or download a cheatfile from a website that has the cheat already.

I don't know the answer to the forwarder channel, so hopefully someone else knows.

Some things can be found in the first post - but can well, be seen as a little bit unclear... thus I asked - and got answers ;) thanks for that ;)

Good to know the /codes/ folder is universal. And I figured as much w the disc games but wanted to be sure.

And as for cheats - you only have 1 file that you can edit and add to per game? But What if I'd have have two diff cheat files in /codes/ and in actual game's folder? would it read both? or just prioritize the one in /codes/?

I will wait for a reply on the Wads question - and post it in the other thread too.

Thanks sooo much for helping out a n00b.

Well, of course, the first post won't answer all questions especially those not directly related to Nintendont. It assumes you have some basic understandings on subjects like cheat code.

all cheat files should come with a text file and a .gct file.
To combine more cheats for a game, just edit the text files and convert that to a .gct
You can find converters online or just use usbloaders.

Since I'm now using Nintendont mostly on my Wii U, I'd like to transfer some of my GameCube saves on my SD Card in order to use them through MCEmu.
I've got 4 official GC memory cards with many saves on them, so I wonder what should I do to extract them and then make them compatible with MCEmu in Nintendont?
Btw, will I be able to copy them so the original files stay present in the official memory cards? I've found that some saves can't be copied and have protections like F-Zero GX, Phantasy Star Online Ep. I & II and such, will it be an issue?

And eventually a bonus question concerning Wii saves: what should I use to copy my NTSC-U Smash Bros. Brawl save on a SD Card since it has a protection? I'd like to remove it from the Wii U storage because it's so big, but being able to keep it somewhere just in case.

Thansks!

Not strictly related to Nintendont but...

My new HDD is formatted in NTFS. The thing is 2TB in size, and my PC is veeeeeeery slow, I remember a 1TB HDD took something like 2 days to format itself completely with this PC (the only one I got atm).

I know that Nintendont doesn't like NTFS but atm I can't format this HDD in FAT32... Is there a way to do it quickly, or a workaround to use this HDD with Nintendont?

Thanks.

Hello there.

Anyone knows if will be there any support for generic wii u pro controllers on nitendont?

I searched for it, and it´s something a lot of people misses, but I couldn´t find any answers.

there is hardly any generic wii u pros, there is 2 or 3 third partys which work from what i remenber and then there are the fake ones wich often fail, my fake wiiu pro is so bad that if i activate it on homebrew channel it crashes homebrew channel with a dsi exception, so yeah those fake ones have some crazy code.

why would you have 2 diferent cheat files for the same game? And no like every other app in homebrew its one cheat time at a time nintendont will never load 2 diferent files, which ones its called first in the code who knows but why does that matter? just delete or rename one if you want to keep the 2 and switch back and forth for some random reason i cant even understand.

I have a simple question:

Can I use a Wii U Pro Controller on my original Wii (NOT WII U, I DONT HAVE A WII U) on Nintendont?

You can. Just use the Sync button on your Wii and on the controller while on the Wii menu. The blue light will turn off at first but the controller will work without problem once you're using Nintendont :)
