yes the 2.1 SDK introduces the wireless pads. The WPAD lib is about connecting the wiimotes. This SDK is from august, meaning that everything we saw at the E3 is possible with it.

Yet, we can't use it for the moment, we need to boot dol files in Wii mode...

In one of the pdf's I found this, does this mean that there is a MAC and WIN emulator for the Wii that works?
This also says that the name Wii was already decided when this was started to be written(possibly December 05?May 06?) because at the very start of the readme file you see this(unless this was added when it was released>>Aug 21...):

Introduction:
=======================================================================
This is the Revolution SDK 2.1 package.

The Revolution SDK supports a Wii development environment.
The Revolution SDK includes many libraries that reflect changes in hardware since the GameCube. Additionally, it includes many demo programs that describe how to build and execute applications.

Revolution SDK 2.1 contains significant changes and additions from SDK 2.0.
There is no longer full compatibility with modules built with SDK 2.0, patch 2, and prior versions. For details about what has changed, read man/en_US/ReleaseNote.html.
Interesting

I think if there are emus for it then they are dev emus. Like There are for nokia S60 platform. it comes with SDK and can run only program that are compiled for them. (forum.nokia.com)

nobody knows because afaik 2.1 was the last version that got publically leaked, maybe later versions were more tied to the licensed developper so that the leak source could be more easily identified, I dunno.

where did you get that changelog though ?

You don't need to go to IRC and FTP to get XDK built software. First of all that method is flakey at best. The custom commands they used on IRC to activate the FTP don't work on all IRC clients. Better use is torrents. You can get any XBOX dashboard you want from many torrent sites. Just use the uTorrent client software. It's straight forward and easy.
Also I do NOT advocate continued use of XDK (illegal because you have to be a licensed Xbox dev company to do that legally), but I have no problem with using software which was PREVIOUSLY CREATED by others who used the XDK illegally. I actually have MORE problem with homebrew based on reverse engineering. There are SPECIFIC sentences in the Nintendo license agreement that comes wih games and consoles that FORBIDS reverse engineering.

Also the fruit (XBox dashboards) of a crime (illegal use of the XDK) is NOT always a crime itself. For example, that guy who leaked secret US military docs to Wikileaks committed a crime, and Wikileaks likely committed a crime by accepting the documents that were being illegally given to them. But a person who merely browses to the site and views the documents is NOT committing a crime by the mere act of viewing the documents (albeit you may have violated rules that will prohibit you from then ever getting a job in govt positions involving handling classified docs, you will NOT be arrested for the act of viewing these docs on Wikileaks).

Why the fuck did you just bump a 5 year old topic?

I came across it when google searching for the "revolution sdk" because there were a couple tools (specifically video and audio file converters) that could be useful for modding Wii games, tools which I've read are only available in the "revolution sdk". I then saw that post about FTP and IRC and XDK, and felt I had to reply to what was a mistaken post that I saw, suggesting that you had to use FTP and IRC to get anything that was created by XDK.

Also felt obligated to give my view on the legal issues in question.

Yeah, that not enough of a reason to bump TWO threads. Maybe one, but not two.

Lol you are not a mod of these forums. You should not feel obligated to do anything.

Damn, why are people feeling like they NEED to reply to bump threads instead of reporting the single message?
It's easier for moderators to just remove the bumping post and the thread will go back to its old place.

When everyone reply, we need to take action against all user's reply :(

It's the second bump regarding SDK today...
I close this topic from 2007, so nobody add his own opinion on necro-bumping.
