the Wii remote was first revealed to the public at TGS '05 (sept 2005)

Both companies "borrowed" the idea. Stop the hatin'.

The truth is that you can't steal technology that's in wide, common use. Every phone nowadays has accelerometers, IR recievers are built-in every single TV remote, coloured objects tracking via camera has been around for years aswell, even on the PC. I could really go on, but you surely see my point.

Neither of those products contain "new" and "groundbreaking" technology, it's just one of the first uses of them in video game industry.

If the Wii U really can come up with games of that standard, then I don't see why it can't use the videos of other companies. (besides the hate)
