I don't have the channel yet, but is it actually possible to recommend something like The Homebrew Channel to someone?!

Just to let everyone know, the European Nintendo Channel is out available for download now, I'm currently downloading it.

Belongs in the news\weather category - pointless.

If I wanted to watch video's I'd go online - its a lot faster
If I wanted to see what's new I'd go online - it's less clumsy
DS download play are games that have been out for months/years

Deleted.

Imho, i concord with Fission.
One hour ago i've tested the NChannel with all my homebrew installed, and there's no problem, i checked the WiFi Games and there are ok, i think there's not any threat for our Wii.

Ey, Weather channel is useful! When I'm going fishing...

...anyway it's 280 blocks of s*it and crap. Ds demos

*Goes to remove Nintendo Channel*

PS. I've just got my Wii from modding (again)

I installed it and it's "only" 127 blocks
absolutely no impact on HB channel so far, only works with WiiConnect enabled

Only 127 blocks? Are you pretty sure about that? When I still had the Nintendo Channel, it took around 260 blocks. The channel itself was 127 blocks but I found the channel under Save Data and Channels in the Data Management. That is one of the reasons I removed it besides being a useless channel.

i take it this update / channel is safe at the moment then?

not that ill be downloading it to be honest everyone's made it sound crap .

tried it this morning... and all I can say is:
"... is this it?"
I thought there would be so much more to this than it was... a few trailers and the ds demos can be quite handy sometimes... but overall: nah...
"reviewing" games isn't that good either: hardly any options to fill in...

it was a let down, but I do hope they develop this further into some better application: reccomending games due to what you have contributed etc.

I've readed again the contract, and i've read there's: The Nintendo crawl your Wii anytime the want, not
necessarily when you install the channel, stay alert.
