Happy new year!

I'm not really the resolution-making type but personally but I guess my resolutions are twofold;
  • I'm gonna try to replace my reddit and other social media doom-scrolling habit with hanging out here.
  • Taking more photos; I love photography and my camera has been wildly neglected for most of this year
What about you all? Anything specific you feel resolute about for 2026?

2025 was probably the year that taught me the most, both "professionally" and personally.
A lot of awful shit happened in September, and opened me a bit more towards the idea of enjoying as much as possible the gift of being at peace. Shit so awful it literally made me think of 2025 as one of my worst years, and this is coming from someone who's been dealing with cardiac hypertrophy since ±2008.
2014 had my 5th cardiac arrest and that compared to September 2025 was a ride in Disneyland.

"Professionally", learned new tricks for hardware repair, new investment strats, and I've planned a lot for this new year which excites me a lot. I'm eager to know what i'll learn this year!

On top of all the artificial growth, spent a lot of time catching up with newer games (for PC) and i'm stepping out from playing good old Super Mario Land. It's been kinda exciting honestly. Solved couple problems related to multitasking + automatization, and honestly it's crazy the amount of tasks you can do with Windows + Powershell... it's starting to grow something there.
Hopefully, this year i'll tackle upfront my projects with GDScript and Python, but QT Framework is tempting me.

Hope to spend more time with my hands busy. Should retake drawing after not doing ANYTHING for 2025, which I regret.
I do have 3 drawings made during 2025, but compared to me from 2016-2020 it's literally nothing. I used to draw 8 hours from Monday to Friday, simply lost interest once I reached art related goals (Comics, Games, Graphic Design + Exposure in Galleries AND invitations) would love to test once again my hand at Drawing & Painting.

I'm excited!

Edit: Hope to get more ooey gooey yummy burgers!

Nope. Never understood why people need to wait until the new year begins.
No one willingly waits; it's just a time of reflection and the logical next step is to consider what you might want to change to have a better year next time around

LOL! No. Tons of people literally wait for the new year to begin. That's why they're called New Year's Resolutions. :rofl:

Because "big number go +1" looks nice and symbolical in people's minds. It's just an arbitrary date but it feels significant. It's like how most projects start "next Monday".
