The first part would be unnecessary - it'd go straight to the System Update portion without ever seeing the system number or string.
What is this magic you speak of?

Seriously though, they would have to update the system settings app with a fw update. We would know immediately what titles, if any, were updated. Not to mention the legality behind altering personal property, or accepting usage agreements.

You know how some things reboot your system? Like Micro SD Management does? And how it brings you to settings in SysNand?

What if Nintendo decided to reboot your system before going to System Update. without telling anyone, therefore running it in SysNand, and updating SysNand? It'd only affect EmuNand and no one would notice other than EmuNand users. Not only that but there'd likely be no going back, either. It'd be pretty malicious.
That's why we have A9LH.

10.6 sysNAND FTW! B-)

No shit? Makes sense. But updating sysnand when you have emunand seems pointless.
Gotta prepare for the future.

Besides, I can tell you the same thing. With Arm9LoaderHax emuNAND will kinda be pointless. (Unless you want to experiment and stuff, but for normal usage: useless.)

That's one reason I stick with emuNAND, even though I have A9LH. The only real advantage right now in switching to sysNAND entirely is no more double DSiWare and GBA installs. That and maybe ever so slightly faster load times into NAND.

I still believe that nintendo is hiding some files on these updates and one day we all are gonna get scrubbed , just like how it happened with those guys using the Direct TV (or something like that) hacked card to receive free tv channels
i think thats considered illegal.. if nintendo did that and bricked a lot of 3ds they will get sued for damagin private property , doesnt matter you have emunand or what.. you paid for the hardware.

I did not read much but I couldn't find an answer so, is the emunand working on a New 3ds?

Yes.

I'm not sure about that, but I know (Au)ReiNAND, RxTools, and CakesFW works with emuNAND 10.6.

I think I saw a post or two in one of the other five threads we have on 10.6 confirming that Gateway worked, but make a backup of your emuNAND if you're worried about it, @Disco.

How do you access the homebrew menu with no menuhax? I use menuhax to go to the hb menu and to choose between sysnand and emunand.
Personally I just use Arm9LoaderHax coupled with Menuhax'd 9.2 sysNAND and 10.6 emuNAND.
Gets around the fact that there's no a9lh screeninit yet and works like a charm.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
