Hacking New to WiiU - some general questions

1. How do WiiU updates affect vWii, if at all? (e.g., will a WiiU update brick my vWii or vice-versa)
2. Is it safe to use the WiiU transfer/migration feature to import data like game save data, miis, etc. from a hacked Wii?
3. Are there any other downsides to hacking vWii?

as far as I know updating the wiiu wont brick vwii. the downside of hacking vwii is that some installation homebrew that works on regular wii could brick vwii so you got to be carefull on what you install. I don't know if the wiiu transfer is safe or not though

Transfering a hacked wii to the wii u works perfectly. I did it myself. I actually did a backup of my original wii before the transfer and restored it after. Now I have an exact copy of my original Wii on both systems.
