Yes, update to 3.5, and fix the ISO with the PPF-Patch (see the Patching/Fixing the ISO Box on the first post). Burn the fixed ISO, and then you should be ready to play.Marc1994 said:

the untouched NTSC iso I have has both the game partition and that stupid update crap, and I'd rather not make a third coaster this week, but I'll goof around with that setup in some 6 hours.(got bored with waiting for sunrise, so I replaced the menu music with rickroll)

I would like to know if it's ready to be burnt
the size of the file is 4.5GB thats normal so do I need to WiiScrub it :S
I don't want to waste a DVD-R

"Safe" depends what you mean...First: If you have the PAL Game, then you can think about if you want to update. If you have the NTSC-Game, don't update. Now, as far as I know, it has the 4.1 Update. If you are already on 4.1 or even 4.2, it won't ask to update. And if you haven't modded your console, why the hell shouldn't it be safe?Leosr said:

Hi everyone, i have read as much of this as possible for 188 pages but im still not clear on how to run the game.
I have a backup on a verbatim disc burned at x4.
On my wii i have NeoGamma R6, Backup Launcher version 0.3 gamma and my homebrew channel is v1.0.3 IOS61 v19.26.

alright, after doing this I still have another error.
Trying to load the burned disc with everything I got on my SD (Backup launcher, neogamma, softchipr99)
I keep getting a 'greenscreen' that stays when loading, I have to reboot my wii myself.
however, when I used neogamma, it gave the error 'The disc could not be read. Please refer to the Wii Operations Manual for details'
Does ANYONE know what to do?

i finally installed correctly rev 15, and the game loads just fine with uloader3.1 in the hbc!! The iso i used was already patched so i didnt have to patch it with your instructions here. The iso i downloaded is "New Super Mario Bros / Patched / Scrubbed Wii Pal" and it works perfectly!!! i'd like to say a BIG thank you for your help.
My only problem is that when i play the game , it's always widescreen and i dont know why(the game does not play in full screen, it's black ,below and above). Maybe because of my tv? (which is not widescreen) . Should i change the region ? pal50 or pal60 or ntcs i dont know . i'll try anyway . Any sollution?

:. Get an UNTOUCHED NTSC ISO of the game (New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF works great)
:. Download this patch. Decompress every packakge inside it until you get several files with the qf-nsmbw_fixv2.bat file inside it.
:. Place the decompressed untouched ISO in the same folder as the qf-nsmbw_fixv2.bat file.
:. Run the qf-nsmbw_fixv2.bat and wait several minutes. Burn the fixed ISO.
:. You should NOT need IOS53
:. Play it with NeoGamma 7 (or greater) with cIOS Rev.14
