For those of you getting the black screen, make certain that you have the correct dump. If your dump doesn't say "ind-nsmb-pal.iso" then you have the wrong one. There was a scrubbed version put out on newgroups that was wrong version. (Also make sure you apply the fix first then burn)

the version I have says "LY_NSMB_PAL_MULTI5.iso" but the comments from everyone else who has that one seems to say that it works.
I'm gonna try a different iso because I don't think my wii needs to have a patched ios53 installed.

i just installed ios53 with trucha bug with DOP-IOS method, but i still get the error screen when i put my dvd in.. i still cant load it from the disc channel??? what am i missing?
its working with neogamma though...


i have wiikey 3.4 with wiikey2 modchip , already had cios249 rev 14 installed...


pls advise? what am i missing?

He said that he used [Wii]New_Super_Mario_Bros[PAL][WIISOS.com] and changed the main.dol.
Do you think it will work ?

Why bother with the trucha bug in IOS53? I got the first IOS53 on my 3.2E and that came without the trucha bug and its fine

Me neither. I'm waiting for something from Wiikey Team, such as an update. If it's not possible ANYWAY I'll get the retail. Or patch teh system...

also another thing , when i start DOP-IOS and i cant install IOS50 , there is no opstion to dop/install it , if i browse to ios53 then i can install.
i also notice that the current verson of ios50 installed = v4889

Hey guys,

for those who didn't manage to get the game working with disc:

I have softmoded 3.2E console. I softmoded it a year ago with softmii, that means that i have old 0.28 preloader, cioscorp 1.01, and some cios rev7.
I didnt manage to play NSMB(patched copy) with neogama r7 or neogamar8 beta with that configuration.

So, what i did is, installed cIOS38_rev14 ,configured my usb stick (2GB, you only need 512MB as the game is in size of cca 370 MB, when added to stick) with WBFSManager3.0.1. and put the game on usb stick.
I launched the game with Neogama r8 beta, and there changed to read from usb. (didnt changed any settings),

and now it works, been playing for 30 minutes now.

Thanks man this worked perfectly, didn't know I could use the thumb drives I had I thought they were too small I had a 4 gig one and formated i with WBFSmanager and put the game on there and used Neogamma R7 and it worked 1st time no problems. I don't have to waste discs any more.

I FINALLY got this to work ! I just used a different iso and it came right up!
I had a gut feeling the iso I was using was a bad dump but everybody there was saying it worked.
Neogamma R8b7 worked. I'm going to try using cfg loader with fat32.

But if you can, just download a fixed version, then it will work for sure.

Anyways can someone help me here? Well I have been using SD card to play the game, gets annoying to change SD each time i want to start NeoGamma. So I changed to USB and installed USB Loader GX.

Now I can play the game on NeoGamma using my USB. But I can't play SMB on USB Loader GX, or its Black/White or when I try forcing, the game just get green screen or black screen :S Im not in a big hurry since I can play using NeoGamma but i preffer using USB Loader.

Hopefully someone can help me

Because the game is PAL. PAL video system is different than NTSC (US video system). try to force PAL 60Hz. if you can't then, you'll not able to play the game with colors.

hello,

i have a wii 3.4E with cios249 rev 14 installed (wiikey2)
now i want to install ios 50 and 53 with trucha

But when i start DOP-IOS , i am not able to do anything (dop) with IOS 50 , the tool is saying that i already have the latest ios50 installed. I am able to install/reinstall ios53 with trucha bug...

SO i did the install of ios53, but i cant run games like mario from the disc channel

What am i missing??
