Why would you want that? there's no advantages over gbarunner2, it takes space on the home menu (which has a 300 limit) for no reason, with gbarunner2 you just open the rom files, no need to package stuff.Generally you will either want to package each ROM as a .cia using New Super Ultimate Injector
I use it for the games that have issues on gbarunner2, but otherwise... the lack of widescreen, having to reboot to select a different game, the "meh" upscaling, not being able to use lower screen... it's not ideal either imoor otherwise open_gba_firm.
You just said there are games that have issues on GBARunner2. NSUI has the same compatibility as open_agb_firm.there's no advantages over gbarunner2
ok, i verified that at the end of this hacking guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/get-started it is explained how to install some homebrew, FBI includedThere's not really need for a guide. Each emulator has it's thread with whatever instructions are needed, but it mostly consists of:
*Installing FBI (crucial homebrew to install everything else)
*Strongly suggest you also install FTPD pro, to move files without taking ur SD card out of the console (optional tho)
*Download CIA files into your SD
*Install them with FBI
Try installing 3DS games first as it's easier than emulators, if you succeed go ahead and try with bubble's standalone emulators for genesis, NES and SNES, since those work well and are simple to set up.
If you're ok with that, then move on to DS games, and DS emulators (as in, emulators for other consoles made for DS which can run on 3DS) like gameyob, gbarunner2 and NGPDS. These don't use CIA method so you'll have to research a little bit, but it's easy once you get the hang of it
If you manage to do all that you're good to keep investigating what u want or need on your own i'd say, like N64, PS1, retroarch, and other useful homebrew
Have you read any of the posts that have been made so far..? When you ask for help it is often useful to provide some indication that you're actually reading people's responses. Has someone written something that you do not understand? :-/I'm only interested to play 3DS, DS, GBA, GB/GBC (all Nintendo portable consoles) games on my Nintendo 3DS, nothing else, so iìm not interested to any other emulator.
So, if i'm not wrong:
You can buy the carts and run them that way, too.1) 3DS games --> i have to directly install the games in .cia format with FBI. They should work perfectly
If you're using the R4 card and everything works perfectly, why don't you want to keep using your R4 card?2) DS games --> i have to search a good emulator to run games. I have my roms file that i use with my pc emulator in .nds format. Can i use them with a DS emulator on Nintendo 3DS XL? If so, which is the emulator with best compatibility? Currently i'm using the R4 card and every game works perfectly
Why wouldn't you just leave it there? If you are in the habit of removing things you do not recognize, then you are in for a very bad time, sir.can i leave this folder here?
ok! I started the procedure, now i have to put some files in the SD card as explained here: https://3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(pichaxx), chapter INSTRUCTIONS. I'm also following this good guide: and at 7:40 minute, in the root there is only the Nintendo 3DS folder.
In my SD card, there is a new folder, DCIM, probably created during the first part of the hacking process (yesterdard it wasn't present): https://i.postimg.cc/j5pRmfkJ/Cattura2.png
Can i ignore it?
thanks
ok thanks! is it possible to delete it from the console? I don't find any option about that...or i can simply delete the DCIM folder manually, i suppose.your DCIM folder holds your photos and screenshots made in games or with the camera
Its a normal folder of the 3ds. if you dont have photos you care of on there you can. But dont be surprised when the folder shows up again.ok thanks! is it possible to delete it from the console? I don't find any option about that...or i can simply delete the DCIM folder manually, i suppose.
I finished succesfully the hacking process!!!!and i have all the application installed.
Now, i want to start from the GBA (and later GB/GBC), so i choosed New Super Ultimate Injector beta 27: beta 28 too is out but it seems that it has some issues...is this true? I found beta27 here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/discussion-new-super-ultimate-injector-nsui.500376/ and this guide: https://digiex.net/threads/new-supe...bc-gba-smd-gamegear-turbigrafx-16-roms.15394/
I will try to install some GBA games, i hope i will be ableCurrently i'm using a 4GB SD card, but if i want a bigger one, i suppose i have only to format in FAT32 another SD card and copy ALL the files from the current SD to the bigger one, is that correct?
thanks!
Why not try it and find out? I mean, do you have the slightest reason to expect them to behave differently from any other Home menu icon?is it possible to put in the 3DS menu all the GBA games in the same folder?
