Though the build quality and design does look a lot better than the cheap ones...

... lol
they all lack the right hinge, which is the one most often broken.
they already lost about 50% of the replacement housing customers on that.
EDIT: nevermind.
they just forgot to attach those with the photo's

yes, they just show the major parts of the case in the sales photos to give you an idea of what the product looks like. the right hinge is included in the parts bag, along with the d-pad and rest of the buttons.

just an fyi, concerning these cases. these are manufactured by the same company that ebay seller wiiroom has had available for quite some time. take a look at my review >>here

Those definitely look more substantial than the cheap ones.

And yes, I would highly recommend the Gold Zelda DS. There is no other DS I'd trade mine in for.

These don't look like they are complete... it seems they come with one colored screen frame, and one white one. Unless its just another coloured one, just flipped over

Looked at some pics. I saw an Instruction sheet. Hopefully it tells you what to do instead of just naming off parts. Taking Apart and Putting it back together is the only thing from keeping me from getting one of these. If I had a full step by step guide with LOTSA pics, I'd feel safe. But a lot of guides around like the one I see on here alot, only has the bottom shell. Is it really easy as it looks? I hear alot of people screwing up their power button and the hinges.

It's not too hard, just be slow and careful...

Especially with:

The ribbon cable between the screens... if that breaks, you're doomed (you need to buy a new top screen...)

The L & R triggers, they're spring loaded which makes them a nuisance to reattach

The Power/Volume sliders, if the bit of plastic doesn't line up with the slider, they can break off.
