I tinkered with electronics before, and I've gotten into biggger things, my PS2, I had to get in and fix the disc read error, but... The DS Lite. Cripes, you have take apart everything. ;_;

Hardest part is the top screen's ribbon cable.

Boo, they look pretty good, but I wish they were dual injected like the pink and white DS Lites. Might consider getting em later if the prices fall though.

Really important tip: Make sure the ribbon cable is allllll the way in.
If you turn on your ds and the screens blink and then the system turns off the cable isn't in all the way. Open the case back up, check the ribbon cable for the top screen and try to push it in as far as you can, putting enough pressure on it. The symptom above is the only one i know of that indicates the cable isnt in all the way. Im just making sure people know this cause i freaked out when my ds didnt turn on. i have a typical ds lite dry hinge crack and i have another slight crack near the gba slot where the poor build quality of my m3 gba expansion sort of grabbed the dsl's casing and caused it to crack..i think i'm going to order the white housing case so i dont have to look at these cracks that annoy me every time i look at them. at least the white one is 17 dollars and not 32 for some reason lol
