how did they connect the ds to the tv?!?!

Ninty has a special box they hook up to the DS to do that. From what I understand, only reviewers and possibly some developers have access to it.
that's how a lot of reviews are done, seeing as they cant use an emulator.

I hope this runs better, the first one for the DS seemed like a bad idea, simply because the DS couldn't handle the speed of when you use your meter, or even without it (it caused a lot of easy glitches and I know, i played the game!) Maybe it'll run better with the DSi, giving me a reason to actually get one.

I hope it doesn't get as awfull as Burnout =.=

Ah well, it looks ok, looks like some of those arcade racers I used to play years ago..

Great news, hopefully it will be worth it

It won't, when running in ds mode the dsi limits it self to the same amount of ram and processor speed as the original ds.

I've really been getting into racing games again, so this is especially good news to me. And I definitely prefer arcade racing over simulation, so I look forward to it hitting. Also, if it hits Japan first, it shouldn't be much of a problem to play, I'm sure.

I was just playing Burnout Legends on PSP last night, after I got done editing the game files to include my own mp3 soundtrack. So on the one hand, I could have a Burnout wannabe with blocky graphics on the DS' underpowered hardware and screen, or I could have two actual Burnout games played in widescreen on a handheld that actually has the processing power for a decent driving game.

Well, I'm stumped.

Well, aside from managing to plug the PSP while simultaneously pooing all over DS, I don't get the point of your post. I'm confident we're all aware of the benefits and shortcomings of both systems, but what does that have to do with this new racing game?

Are you suggesting that the game can't be fun simply because it doesn't possess processing power on par with PSP? If so, hasn't this argument been run through its paces already?

Because adequate racing requires technology, and this is another case of the DS overstepping its limitations and the customer always suffers. It's just like every attempt at RTS and FPS on the system.

Wait, i thought that was only when you are using a card that was originally for the DS?
also. irpacynot: possess processing power on par with PSP?
say that 5 times fast.

So, then, every single racer in the history of video games pre-2000 was shit? I mean, think about it. The DS, in terms of "technology" seems about on par with the original PlayStation, or even perhaps the N64 (and there's no point in arguing the minor differences when the end result can easily be grasped). So, you're saying that any racing game from either the PS era or before that was overstepping its limitations?

How about Mario Kart DS? Is that also shit? More importantly, however, how much technology is required to make an "adequate" racing game? When the PSP eventually becomes defunct? Will you look back and reevaluate the racing games from that system as overstepping their limitations? And what are the limitations, exactly, of the DS that hold any racing game back from being adequate?

I'm stumped.

i'm stumped lol, the last burnout game on the ds was terrible.

Oh I remember this game. I played it months ago when the Japanese release came out. It's pretty meh.

Unless this is the remade version, then I guess we will see.
