new cast for star trek movie

I think it could work. Sylar as spock is going to strange but I think they'll be able to pull it off. Simon Pegg as scotty is perfect

Well, seeing as Sylar and Peter switch roles as the good/bad guy - it doesn't make sense.

I'm terrified. God, I hope they get this right.

Playing Kirk is like doing a cover of Stairway to Heaven... it's way too easy to screw up a classic. Everybody else in the cast has some wiggle room, even Spock, but the Kirk has to be spot on.

Just my opinion.

Yeah that's true mother. I think I'm just going to pretend it's not a star trek movie and try and take it as some random sci-fi. As you said it's too easy to stuff up a classic and I doubt it could be any better than the original series or next generation. The dude playing Sulu better have a cool voice.
