Though for those that can use a USB drive, this would seem a bit pointless as we could create our own channel and use that.
Nope, not pointless at all, because they have improved the software with this release as well.
You now have the ability to search and find titles without the use of a PC.
Still have the old netflix disc, along with the ISO of the new release. I think I can see what Nintendo's next console will be like.
As long as they don't expand to Europe... Especcially here, in Holland.
I won't really care xD
you can also do that with the new v1.1 disc.
Ahhhh, I see.
I didn't realized they had released a new disc.
How long ago? There I was still with my old original disc. Thanks a lot Netflix. heh
Though I don't really see why on earth Netflix didn't simply take this route in the first place, it's better late than never, I suppose.
PS3 doesn't need a disc anymore either. That is the true good news!
I got it and am pretty happyno disc yay
Wait so we now get it from the WiiWare store? And if so how much does it cost.
It's free as long as you have an active netflix account.
I think because Microsoft had a deal with netflix to have disc-less netflix on the 360.
Thank goodness! My family watches Netflix all day, and now it will be easier.
I was just going to say that families will love this.
I don't have netfix (never saw the point in paying for it when I can just get my movies for free) but I'm curious, how big is the channel?
I remember reading that it is like 49 blocks or so.
Okay, so I saw this when I was on my Wii today looking for free channels/wiiware/vc.... Why the hell are they giving us the Netflix channel without an account? Because seriously, I am NOT paying for Netflix. More than $2 is a rip off, and monthly fees are more retarded than a sheep trying to eat the entire earth in one gulp. Not to mention I don't have the money for such a thing.
Damn Netflix, you stupid! Paying for things, what a rip off.
...That's like saying I want to pay $6 a month to pirate video games.
Its actually quite reasonable. You get unlimited HD streaming with a quite large library, and anything not on watch instantly can be rented out, with extremely quick shipping. Also, a lot of people do in fact pay to pirate. You get your games much faster or sooner than anyone else.
On another note, im glad they finally did this. Shoulda been from the start but whatever.
