I have homebrew + neogamma r7 + 4.3u (latest). When I try to play my backup copy of Wii Sports Resort I do so by opening NeoGamma and selecting 'Launch Game on DVD'

Says

Launching Game
Language: Auto Force
Force Video: Disc
Patch Video: No
VIDTV Patch: No
GameID: RZTE01

I hear the disc read click once or twice and then I am back at the Wii Channels screen. No error message is displayed at any time.

I am new to all of this, just got Neo and Homebrew installed today. I followed the tutorial located at:
http://onehitgamer.com/forum/wii-homebrew/...d-wii-games.htm

Anything I'm doing wrong or any suggestions on what I should try? Thank you experts in advance!

if your still getting errors, you most likely have the newer wii, it'll never run backup discs, but will run games from a usb external drive.
look into usb loaders, and get a drive, $50 bucks for a 320 GB

RVL001 is the model. Copyright 2006. It was bought new in June 2009.

Okay did but not exactly sure what I'm looking for. Result:

Your drive most likely has the following chipset:

* There is a 75% chance the chipset is GC2-D2E and covered in black glue.
* And there is also a 25% chance the chipset is GC2-D2E.

LU635X

Closest matches say N/A on DVD drive.

Also, I did get some tutorial video to play last night from the DVD .. I don't remember exactly how I did it but I loaded via Neogamma and switched some option .. I think it was from main to something else... the video was instructional on how to connect the nun-chuck... it played for several minutes and then froze. I'm going to try a different game in a bit... maybe its just the game...

Thanks

theres a whole thread in the forums on wii sports resort. you need to watch the motion + video in order to play the game, AND you NEED the wii motion plus to play the game.
once you watch it, theres an alt dol you also need.
Try any other backup disc, should be fine.

Thanks tried Lego Star Wars, game boots to menu but when I selection the option for new game, rather than load game or options, I get a black screen and wii seems to freeze. I had to unplug the Wii to get out of it. Went back in again with the same result.

... Just got Call of Duty: World at War to work .. so it seems maybe my issues are now limited to certain games..

download ModMii from our hacking forum.
This is a program you DL onto your PC, you run it from your pc, and you put the files onto your SD card.
Just use it to re-hack and update any and all IOS's, cIOS's etc... and everything you throw in your wii should play with no problems. It also generates step by step instructions for any hack you want to run.
it'll ask you questions that you answer, and the resulting files to put on your SD card.
Very easy to use, I use it always, for even updating MY Wii.

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200

My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol

    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds

I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection

    how is wireless charging possible?

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
