Hacking Need help with ROM Renaming/managing

I recently got back into the NDS scene and got a hold of the latest ROMs etc.
But I don't have a program to rename them so they're all in a big mess at the moment.
I don't really know of any good renamers/managers, so perhaps you could recommend some for me?

I hope this is the right forum for this kind of post.

I personally use NDSlist, but there are other renamers like Rominator and NDScrc

do any of these options work in *nix?

I attempted to use rominator (briefly) but i thought I saw something on here saying it doesnt actually work (correct me if im wrong).

I am on call tonight and have burned up a little time writing a python based utility for managing all the files and making a ghetto list and (maybe) syncing to a device, but now I see there are online databases that keep track of the releases by # in a nice, fully detailed list.

I have had no issues using rominator on my mac to rename any of my games...
