Hello, I had recently let my nephew use my 3ds XL recently and he brought it back to me saying it was broken. Every time you try to boot it it crashes immediately and pops up an error screen. Does anyone know how to fix this error or what he might have done to mess it up in the first place?

I will try to remove the battery first and see what happens when I get to work, and if that doesn't work I'll try updating luma. Thank you guys for all the quick respones!

So I tried the battery trick and that didn't work. So I tried to update luma but everytime I tried to do anything to the card it said its write protected. The manual lock on it is off and I tried a bunch of tricks to unlock it and nothing worked. I tried using a tool I found online to format it after copying the contents of the sd card and it said it was corrupted or something so I then used the same tool to do a check and it said it couldnt find anything wrong so I'm at a loss here

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
