I'll be honest, I don't think integrating '3DS' into many project names works well. It just feels a bit clumsy to me. If you put it at the end, e.g. 'Project Name 3DS' then that's fine as it makes it clear. I integrated '3DS' into a project name with 3DSafe because the word 'safe' is not only relevant to the project but starts with 's' so blended well with '3DS'. However, I think trying to embed '3DS' into the name of the project can look messy and difficult to read if the letters don't match up and if the word chosen doesn't match well with the purpose of the project (i.e. it was chosen just because it can be blended with '3DS').

If this was for DS, then you could call it NeuTRino - neutrinos are particles hence relevant to physics, and the capitalisation hints at NTR (the model number for the DS). Perhaps 'NeuTRino 3D' - so you've got neutrino, the NTR hint, plus 3D to indicate it's for 3DS not DS.

Great feedback, out of 4 pages.

I'm actually thinking about the 3DS naming scheme, and also feel the same way. I thought people would be naming this with KTR or something 3D, but forcing the 3DS seems not ideal.

The original physics engine was qu3e, and now it's going to be on the Nintendo 3DS. I'm still going to cipher through this thread, and then see what names can I mix/mash up together. Those who proposed the names I used to mix/mash together will be chosen as the winners instead, for fairness.

Now I think about it, qu3e sounds like iQue, which is also a Nintendo brand. Probably no one realizes, but Nintendo 3DS is marketed as iQue 3DS in China.

Fractal.
A shape with an infinite perimeter, indicating both geometry and unlimited expression. It's also got the letters C, T and R in it, but the R has been moved. It's breakin the rules a bit, kinda like the target demographic of the engine.

Idk, I came up with this on the fly.
