iQue is China's NDS. It's like reigon protection. China is well known for its piracy, I suppose nintendo was trying to prevent it by putting a sort of reigon on just China.

ique = nintendo in china.
the first ique dump was the polarium full game.
the first ique machine is a n64 like controller which uses sd cards i think to store n64 and snes games in a special format.
i mean you can't put your n64 and snes roms.

reading the .nfo it makes me think why you have to restart the numbering, since you can play the roms on nds via supercard. I would label them with IQ or something. it's basically the same system just with a special protection as i understand it.

I don't get it either why they are beginning from 0000 with numbering. It doesn't have any special protection at all. Just the new firmware so it isn't PASSME compatible anymore, but we have PASSME2 by now so ... really no reason afai see it

"iQue DS", which is the name of official Chinese Nintendo DS, was released in China on July 23, 2005. The price of iQue DS is 1400 RMB (about $169 USD). The iQue DS is compatible with all of the language versions of every game. This new iQue DS includes updated firmware from Nintendo to block out use of the PassMe device, along with the new Red DS.

So really .. useless to restart the numbering.

Just as with the GBA numbering it will get screwed by two systems after a whil at this pace.
