Golden Sun for me! It did not disappoint. There were several issues. Some conversations went on longer than they needed, you couldn't backtrack so there were some Key missables and:

when they come back home and they find that vortex and how it ends with "The End..?" seemed really tacky and cheesy. I don't know why but it just ruined the ending for me.

Ehh that's putting me off completing the game.

no other game for a while had me reading that much text , playing the ds till its battery flattened 2-3 times on a weekend multiple times and have me playing till about 3-4 am then waking up at 7 for work and playing it instead of getting ready this year.

I can't imagine why you actually forgot Pokemon Black and White. Those really were the games with the most advancement since.... ever in the series. A actual good story line, plus an awesome gameplay, i gonna go PKMN BW. BUt since it's not on list, i say Layton, for awesome story lines and puzzles

999 is my favorite game, ever.

Also, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and Dementium II are really outstanding but 999...

And he didn't forget about Pokemon Black/White. He just didn't add them because it was a japanese release only

I chose Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.

I know that they're remakes, but the originals formed such a large part of my childhood that it was almost like reliving those years when playing them.

Pokemon White's story is actually good. I'm really liking the characters.

Dragon Quest IX .... No Contest.

I havn't played Golden Sun yet but i can't see anything beating DQ IX, i like games with longevity and customization.

That's a hard one...

Golden Sun was easily the most highly anticipated game on my list. It's pretty fun and on par with its predecessors.

DQIX had great graphics and good gameplay but I really didn't like the Inn system where you can make your own character. There's no story for them and they don't talk either lol.

HeartGold definitely kicks Diamond/Pearl to the ground. I grew up with the original Gold Version.

999 I would say has possibly the best storyline in any game I've ever played. Though it's frustrating when you realize you missed a clue, its various characters and endings are fantastic. I bet if you ripped the text from the game you could make yourself a decent novel.

So I would either have to say Golden Sun or 999... I need to 100% them in order to come to a final conclusion..

Because it is a novel, if anything, it'll fill up for a short novel/story.

I was greatly disappointed by Golden Sun. Just Saiyan.
