Dragon Quest IX was my first real classic turn based RPG for the DS and was by far the best game on DS this year. Even so long after its release, i still play it. I haven't started golden sun, nor have i played the GBA editions, but from what i have read, it isn't as good as the GBA ones and only gets by as a fantastic RPG due to nostalgia and without it is only a good one. Dragon Quest IX is far over just a 'good' one
