Nice summary, man. B) I just took a look at the script wondering "Ugh, how am I going to do this"

There's 10~11 parts to do but we'll play that by ear after the next beta patch [which is now so polished that it's....hilarious. I just for some reason get really unenthusiastic while doing the unlock messages. There's too many D:]


I'll do them, but work is being a real buttface. I've been coming home late every night so I can't get things done like i wanna ):
Tonight/tomorrow I'll deffo have a significant part of the script done - because I wanna unveil part of a translation to my friends on Saturday (who are giant weeaboos and looove Naruto)

So yeah if your life revolves around this patch, don't worry things will be patched up by the end of the week but if it doesn't come out don't cry OK

YEAH! finally my dreams may become realized - the story dialogue is being translated ^^ Good job you two ^^

i like sasuke so when i see a photo of him it makes me translate another part of the game
allthough kosheh IS right. its kinda boring working
but when the patch is finished i'll be proud of my work
i could've done this patch myself because i know the naruto story
the downside is that i have no ideas on ROM hacking
but i'm happy to be of a little help
anyway kosheh you're a master at this that i can't even get compared to your com knowledge.

If you want... you could just raw translate the japanese with google. Then I can fix it up, like I did the opening script.

Not as long as you'd think really.
Copying the anime doesn't work out as well as you'd think. I noticed Kosheh tried this with Shinobi Retsuden II. No offence to him, but it didn't work. It'd be better to fix up the official text.

It doesn't hurt to use the anime as a reference still (as the game IS based on the anime events, not the manga) but regardless, I will fix up the official text.

To be honest, I don't want anyone getting out of character, but it's hard to write in-character for characters I'm really not familiar with. ):

This is something I can do though. I am well familiar with Naruto since I've been watching/reading it since 2002. I can write in character without copying the anime.
With this said. I can recreate the official script in character (or close to it).

Plus , since i'm referring to the anime, it must look a little original. BUT, since you guys don't like that way, i guess i'll stick to the original
translation.

By the way kosheh, where did you get the opening script?

I'll upload the patch in a few hours (5 or so). I'm really kinda arrogant today about it lol and I've promised the patrons at the anime club meeting I help run at my local library [read: 12 year old weeaboos who make perfect quality assurance] that they can try out the game if they want.

Anyway, update log because I'm just prepping it for later.

Newest patch - Beta 03 - WILL BE UPLOADED LATER TODAY

[Instructions: Use XDelta UI [stolen from Noitora ;_;] to apply patch ....xdelta to clean version of ROM
Make sure ROM you're gonna patch is called b-naruto3.nds
Then, in the same folder give the new patched file a name!]

Beast Battles menu 100% translated.
Options header, ingame Beast Battle instruction guide 100% translated.
Contrary to initial rant, parts of UI is now completely translated. Examples: "Round 1: Fight!" and the "VS" on the character select
Link mode mostly untranslated but no one has any friends to play this with so nothing to worry about.
50% of unlock messages translated
New title screen graphic! Disgustingly official-looking!
Header edited (title will be in English on official DS firmware)

A lot of little things I can't even recall at the moment right now are probably translated too.

Story: Chapter titles and subtitles translated!
Story: "Prologue: Newfound Determination" translated!
Very English!

Issue
I cannot translate the weapons choices in Beast Battles for some weird reason. Every time I do so it crashes the game.
For now, blue option is "Shuriken" and red option is "Kunai".
Unlock prompts are incredibly boring. This is why I haven't translated many of them. x(

[I've done enough so now I'm working on the storyline. Yes, this is where I need people to help me. Noitora, if you want to help me that's cool - if not it's OK most of it is busy work anyhow ):]

Don't bother starting a riot over my decision. I'm leaving the house in ten minutes - I've got errands to do - and it's not like I'm gonna come home in the middle of it all and post the patch. I know you guys are pretty patient. You've waited this long, and now I'm definitely not going back on my word ;D
