So you just edited the ROM to be a .gcm and burned it to a DVD and it ran? What exactly did you do?

This is awesome if you didn't need to put an emulator on there. It means the Wii really has hardware (or at least software running in the background) for Wii/GCN/N64.

All I did was use a program to replace a .n64 file in a .gcm file with the game of my choice.

As far as I know, no emulators used, but I can't be sure.

EDIT: Screenshot of program/replace file.

Dunno if this has been done for a while or not.

that is a "gamecube" game (zelda) i.e. a nintendo-made emulator running the rom. That's why you can replace it but it won't work with a lot of games.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
