Gaming My "Pokemon Black and White" DS Case Repair/Mod

Hello all, I'm a newbie to GBATemp. After reading a review on here about Case Replacements a few weeks ago I decided I would order one to attempt to fix a white DS Lite that had been sitting in a drawer for about two years with a broken hinge. I ordered a Pokemon themed one - essentially a knockoff of the limited edition Dialga and Palkia DS. Few weeks later and it got here today, I opened it up, pulled up the guide here at GBATemp, and got to work for a few hours. Thankfully, I managed to finish without screwing anything up, and even on my first try! I mixed and matched parts from the white DS with the case replacement. Because of the DS's black color, Pokemon theme, and white portions, I have dubbed this my "Pokemon Black & White" DS and will be using it until the 3DS comes out. I figured I would show some pictures to see what others think. It may be a knockoff, but I'm proud of the job I did, lol

And if nothing else the DS is back in a functional state!

I ordered the casing from a seller on Amazon, and got the white parts from the DS. Case took a while for shipping, but it was worth the wait to me

Yeah its a fun little project to do. Just gotta be careful with a few parts like the ribbon cable

I've often wondered about 2 toning my DSPhat but the problem with that is that there are so many various parts exposed I'm afraid it would look awful.
Most I reckon would look good is fully Black/White top with a Fully Black/White bottom and opposite coloured buttons.
DSLite has so many cool special edition cases

Lol, I did the same case. Did the shipping take a whole damn month for you too?

Also, were the L and R buttons a pain too? And I messed up mine because I didn't put the tiny piece that the battery cover's screw goes into to hold it in place, so I had to put wire tape since there was no way in hell I was going to deal with those L and R buttons again.
