My Mega Drives make a screeching noise on the TV

So I tried two different TVs, one CRT and one LED and got two different results - No noise on the CRT, but on the LED I do get sound although it's screeching and sounds really bad.

Afterwards, I tried my SNES and the sound works perfectly on the CRT, though, it is connected via AV/SCART rather than an RF connection. But to be honest, even RF the sound shouldn't actually be bad at all.

The megadrive/genesis does suffer from bad capacitors, some of which do trouble the audio circuits. Might be worth looking into that, and if it is then you can buy whole replacement kits for it.

Have you tried the stereo output (if it's the v1)?
