So yeah, i got a brand new white dsi about a week or two ago.
haven't dropped it or done any damage to it.
the L button just all of a sudden doesn't work......
I wanna punch it!!!!!
i still do have the warranty though.
but i don't want to send it in.
any ideas on how to fix it without:
sending it to nintendo
taking it apart.

thanks!!!

Yeah, just send it in. It's a flaw in some Dsi's. My black Dsi's R, and L button didn't work, so I sent it in, and nintendo had to replace something in it. So far no problems.

(Try blowing air under the L button, some say that works.)

A weeks or 2.....Nintendo is suprising fast on my repair orders. I just sent my sisters DSL in, and recieved a refurbished one in the mail, in about 8 days.

in the uk if isomething goes faulty within 4 weeks you are entitled for a full refund or a replacement and can refuse a repair. are there no laws like that where you are?

Yeah, same here.

Can I shoot Ninty?

My original DSi (launch) had faulty L/R buttons, so I sent it in, and they REPLACED the DSi.
Next, this one started to have L/R problems, so I sent it in, and they replaced the buttons. Thought I was done.
Now, my 2nd DSi (which has been repaired) is having issues with L/R. Anyone know a permafix?

And no, giving it a blowjob only works temporarily.

Blow as hard as you can under the buttons, if you have canned air you can use that too, then as suggested rapidly tap the buttons with DSi Sound open, it should work. Another way to do it is to take apart the DSi if you aren't afraid of breaking anything, and take out the dust from between the button and the connector to the motherboard. Also try to find a way to block the dust from entering, and refrain from putting it in your pockets without any kind of case.

. they need to really improve those buttons >.>

Nintendo products all seem to stop working in the LR button area.
My micro's L button is seriously flawed

Hm, mine started doing this at one point. It was annoying because it started doing it when I was playing Soma Bringer, and the LR buttons are kinda needed for that game... It started doing it again later. I just pressed the L button (the one that wasnt working) repeditidly at the DSi Menu and it fixed it.
