Hacking Multiple players on sega/snes?

I'm using SNES360 and GENESIS360, but I can't get player 2 to get recognized
You can press the guide button when it's in game (on player 2) but nothing else responds.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sync both controllers to the 360 (in FSD) and then boot the emulator.

you mean just turn both controllers on while in the FSD?

Yes.
After their both connected/logged on to a Gamertag then launch the emulator.
