Homebrew MSX2 emulators! how to save the game??

Hey I'm using penko ds to emulate metal gear 1 on ds and I'm facing a pretty big problem .. can't save the game. when I try to save I get an error so can anyone help me with this please. also any other good msx2 emulators I heard about fmsx but I can't find out how to make it work I'd appreciate some help with that too.

heya. not to sure about how to save as ive never used the emulator myself, but there are 2 other MSX emulators for DS listed here

edit: apparently fMSXDS supports save states

Hey man ,I tried the fmsx versionin your link, installed a couple of stuff in it's bios, it worked and I can finally save thanks alot I appreciate it.
